We've visited here so many times but this time the drinks were a definite miss. The surly bartender refused to mix anything special and said everything was prepared ahead. My Bloody Mary was disgusting and I couldn't drink it. The only garnish was a humongous dill pickle slice and the drink tasted only of pickle juice and black pepper. He spent a crazy amount of time playing with the tv remote and ignored everyone. So many guest were complaining to each other. One lady came over to ask us about the cocktail flight flavors because he ignored her too.The only highlight was the guy playing guitar and they tucked him in the back. Such a shame. He was very talented. We were planning to come back in October when they open the new pizza restaurant across the street but not sure if it's worth a stop anymore. Very disappointed.

One of my favorite breweries/distillery in Wisconsin. FYI - The distillery has been moved across the street and now shares the same space as the brew pub and store.Cocktails and beers are still offered either at the bar or in the seating area. Food is also available.Great prices...super friendly staff. Minhas is a "Must Stop" when visiting Monroe Wisconsin.

A cool craft brewery/distillery in Monroe, Wisconsin. It's the oldest brewery in the Midwest and 2nd oldest in the US. Tours are available, but my wife and I were just there fora stop on our way to Madison. Our Bartender was a very nice lady who offered us samples of beer before we ordered. I ended up getting a hazy IPA, which was very good. My wife had a whiskey fizz, which she also said was good. We then sampled 3 different whiskies Punjabi Club Rye Whisky, Red Shank Irish Whiskey and Over the Barrel Bourbon. They were all very good. We decided to buy a bottle of the three we sampled, but when we were told they were only 20 bucks a piece, we bought all three! This place is so cool, good beer, good whiskey and they even have a good merch selection if you want a souvenir of your visit. Monroe is a pretty cool town to check out if you're going through.

This whole Minhas compound is actually a fun idea. There's a restaurant, distillery and craft brewery all in the same area but different buildings. You can walk from building to building for tasting's and experiences. I saw a few groups walking from place to place having a great time. For anyone who remembers grandpa drinking Huber beer, here's where it came from. The brewery choices are ok. Nothing that I felt was memorable. Theres a beer museum in the basement with memorabilia and worthy of a trip down memory lane. People in there were friendly, both bartenders and natives. It was a fun time and that's why the trip was great. Don't expect great beer, but do plan on a fun time.

Cool place in Monroe, Wisconsin. We had a nice time in their tap room trying the beer offerings, shopping in the gift shop, touring the Beer Memorabilia Collection, and grabbing some beer to go. Super low prices on beer to go. Mix your own 6-pack was only $5. Bar server was very generous with the samples. We didn't do the brewery tour because our timing was of but it sounds like a great deal also. Check Groupon for tour deals. I learned that the brewery has a long and interesting history. They claim it's the second oldest brewery in the United States behind Yuengling. Great place to visit.

Really enjoyed the tour. Beers were very fresh tasting. The tour starts with a beer and then ends with a tasting of as many beers in a flight glass for 20 mins. The tour ends with a gift of 4 beers and 1 soda or 5 sodas. It was surprisingly good time!

I don't know how I haven't written a review for Minhas yet- but this is one of my all time favorite breweries to visit. Odds are you've seen a deal on groupon, but even if you don't get a groupon, it's totally worth it. The tour - we've done this each year we've come back, with the exception of this year. It's interesting and you move through different parts of the production. It's not too much walking, but there are stairs involved - so keep this in mind if you aren't able bodied. The real star of this experience is the 20 minutes all you can taste challenge.. oops I mean the end of the tour. Make your way through the list with your new Minhas taster glass & you'll find yourself feeling pretty good. Before we leave, we always stock up on some beer because it is SO CHEAP. I love this place & look forward to coming back every year.

Drove an hour south to Monroe to thr 2nd oldest brewery in the nation. Lots of street parking. Showed my groupon and was given 20 minutes for all you can sample. There's a sheet of beer (draft and cooler) selections on the counter. Our fav were chocolate bunny stout and apple ale. Least fav was boxer watermelon as it tasted like cough medicine. Also had the mango CBD flavored water and it was ok. Admission for under 12 is free and they got 5 types of sodas for tasting. We like black cherry the most. Friendly bartender and only wished it was a little more time as there was a group of 8 sharing the same time slot with one bartender.

I was looking forward to this visit but it was a letdown. The drinks were bland. The decor was okay for a small brewery. The service staff was okay. The owners seem to be rude people. Overall a poor experience that I do not recommend.

We arrived at noon. We were greeted by Jenna, who was very friendly. She explained how the tours worked. We had our friend from Germany with us and she took extra care to be sure his beer had a big head on it (like they do i Germany). An hour later we were pleasantly surprised to have her as out tour guide. She was very knowledgeable about the brewery history and operations - answering all our questions. She really made the tour fun. O would recommend the Minhas Brewery to anyone. We had a great time. All the people were very friendly. And the tour was personal and very interesting
