Highly overrated reviews. Food was ok, nothing great or to go back for. Coffee had no coffee flavor, more like colored hot water. Toast was barely toasted. Waitress was friendly and checked on us frequently. Restaurant was clean.Will not go back.

I went Friday night + it was great. They open until 8 pm on Friday. The only night, they're open late. You can tell regulars love it here. I completely understood why. The fish fry was great. They had the option of cod or perch, baked or fried. I chose the 3 pieces, fried cod and I would gladly get it again. It came with your choice of potato and corn. It was so fresh and crunchy, perfectly cooked! I also ordered a side of clam chowder, that reminded me of my childhood in Boston. The bread that I dipped in the chowder was the perfect accompaniment. My wife loved her grilled cheese. And we were so stuffed, we ordered a slice of the homemade lemon meringue to go. I would definitely come back for the fish and I want to come back for the French toast, other breakfast and lunch options. Definitely a wonderful value and local treasure! Highly recommend!!!

Like a step back in time, classic breakfasts all home made dishes. Great skillets that hit all the right flavors. Classic downtown spot with some pictures from the past. Service was excellent & the customers were friendly too like being with family.

The staff was very kind, ambiance was like a comfort food, cozy small town diner. They were busy and still able to seat us right away. I had the biscuits and gravy with fruit. Very good. The only thing I will say that brought the rating down is the orange juice had a funky taste which they attempted to correct. Would go back if in the area.

Solid small town restaurant. The seasoned staff was working hard to take care of the customers.The coffee was solid,sadly only prepacked cream though. The biscuits and Gravy was good. The gravy was a bit thin but there was a lot of sausage in it. The eggs were average. I would pass on the sausage Patti. Nothing to write home on with that one.

This was such a cute and quaint restaurant! There was a parking lot across the way from the restaurant so don't worry about parking. I had the cheeseburger with fries and the patty was soooo good. Definitely could tell this was a fresh patty and not frozen. Love the food! Service was good and very warm and welcoming. Thank you!

Very friendly staff and a great breakfast!! Plenty of food at a reasonable price! Someone whom I assume was the owner, stopped by and checked on us! I would highly recommend stopping by for a bite and local friendliness!!

Amazing food and service!! Came by with coffee refills at an insane rate! Which is so appreciated! Offered a plate of flavored creamers as well. Food was delicious and had attention to detail. Cheese in the whole omelette, not just the middle. Toast had actual melted butter allll over. It sounds so simple, but it's the little things. Not to mention every interaction with staff was polite and pleasant. Will be back again and again!!

Absolute must. I have never been disappointed at MFR. Amazing place, great service, and AMAZING food!
