Milaeger's

I try to visit Milaeger's at least three times a year. This is the go to place during the Christmas season so many decorations, trees, and other Christmas accents and accessories available. They also have clothing items and special area just for Christmas themed collectibles. Looking forward to the one year Christmas open house. Live music, food, and Christmas spirit. Rewards system is questionable. While their system is up and running to accept your credit card, their 'system' is down for customers to apply their rewards to receive a discount from their next purchase. This has been going on for a few weeks They ask you to call to see if the system is up and running. What I'm not appreciating is transparency. If they don't want you taking a discount during the holiday , then state that the reward can be used after the New Year. I really find this very disappointing and unfair to the customer.

Excellent response time on call, terrible response time on their lack of tools and people to do the job. It took TWO days to figure out they didn't have people to move trees, nor any tools to cut them up with.

This location is much smaller than the Racine location but it still has quite a large variety of items for both your indoor and outdoor gardening needs in addition to a large selection of cards, gift and Christmas items. Nice cafe with refreshing, as well as warming drinks, and delicious snacks and sandwiches. If you are looking for unique and hard to find items, you may be better off at sister store, but I am sure they would order whatever you need regardless.

There are two Milaegers in Racine - the "good one" on Douglas Ave, and then...this one. It's only about 1/3 of the size of the Douglas Ave store, meaning the selection will be very limited.On the plus side, there is a fair amount under glass which is nice on an inclement day. Most of that is restricted to annuals, herbs and houseplants though. The quality of the plants is very high - they grow a lot of their own plants in their own greenhouses and that definitely shows. Stock seems to be regularly replenished and tended to as well.Prices can be on the high side - you might pay a dollar or two more, but your plants are likely healthier and will live longer. I think it's worth it. That said, I wouldn't use this location when the Douglas one is so close by (relatively speaking).

Great selection and variety of plants. If you want it, they probably have it. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Someone needs to give Manager Bill a lesson in customer service. Several weeks ago my wife and I bought a bird feeder which after several weeks attracted no birds due to its design. When we took it back wanting to exchange it for another feeder that would work (no refund) I was told since I had no receipt he would do nothing. I will never spend another dime at this store. Apparently Bill doesn't care.

Have been going here for several years but with the service I received, a closer home depot or lowes will do. No one seemed to want to answer my questions, the person to ask never showed up. After waiting for twenty minutes he came around and was of no help.Beautiful flowers and a wide selection of garden items are negated by poor customer service.

Love this family owned gem, not just for the beautiful unique items they sell, but for all helpful staff and the amazing garden cafe menu serving healthy soups and sandwiches!!!

I live in Illinois northern suburbs but drive up to Milaegers because their selection is so good. They usually have everything I need and have a super selection of different varieties of plants. They also have great holiday decorations for both inside and outside.
