I've eaten lunch here 5-6 times, I waited to write my review to test consistency. Mike's is a small store front with big eats. The same owners have been here for 54 years. I even saw a front door picture from 1968 near the register. Mike's is a destination Lunch visit. Each time I visit the staff have been fantastic. They offer a nice big menu on the wall a variety of Drinks in a cooler, prices are very reasonable. Mike's has a nice menu of offerings and they deliver. You can get Chicago style hot dogs, chicken, terrific burgers, very good Italian style and Philly style sandwiches. One other item which seems small but i enjoy the reward, they have a loyalty program, 10 visits and the next one is on them. I will be back as I work through the menu.

Great food and the service is friendly. I moved to MKE from Chicago 6 years ago; and besides Portillo's this place is the only place that comes close to being a decent hot dog/Italian beef shop like the ones throughout Chicago.I highly recommend giving them a try.

The people that work here are very nice and genuine. Always a pleasure talking it up while waiting for some good eats. Food is great for the price and they got great koolaid. The people here really care about the people they serve. Always worth stopping in

This place is Awesome! The women that run Mikes are hard working with quality and fast service in mind. There is a review that states the people their are not friendly. This is not true. When your busy and concerned about quality and good service, small talk is not necessary. You can have small talk, I'll take Great Food with Awesome Service!!

Ten years ago I moved to South Carolina and get back to WI a few times a year. It seems like a wasted trip if I don't get to Mike's om every visit. I have tried Chicago style hot dogs all over Milwaukee and Wisconsin and now down here. None compare to the Chicago Style Hot Dog from Mike's Red Hots!! I can't wait to get back!!
