Authentic hispanic food on the north side of Racine, WI! Food: authentic, well portioned, made fresh, and really flavorful. The menu has everything from Hispanic tacos, enchiladas, torta's, ceviche (shrimp cocktail), and even caldo (soup).Service: Never had a bad experience in service at this place and it's been around for a long time. The waiters/waitresses are kind and do their best to get the food out as quickly as possible. Value: equivalent to other Hispanic restaurants in the area. I especially love that when you dine-in, you are given chips+salsa AND a small cup of chicken noodle soup at no cost, if you'd like. The chicken noodle soup is one of my husband's favorites. Ambiance: very colorful. Walls are decorated with Mexican themed decor. Location: located on the north side of Racine, WI. On a busy street (Douglas Ave) with no private parking. Street parking is usually available. The restaurant recently took over a small business that was next door to them and they used the space to expand the restaurant, thus there is a lot more seating for dine-in. Please beware that the restaurant is not located in the best neighborhood. 1318 Douglas Ave, Racine, WI 53402Dine-in or carry out options!

Amazing! Food is really great, service is always good/attentive, ambiance is cute. I do love the burritos, tacos and pico. Jose is just the best, music is a bit loud. I prefer to get take out at least once a month. Fajitas aren't my favorite here as the flavor is different than I've ever had. However the Pasole is hands down best I've ever had and they are generous with the pork in it. Love this place!!

Really, really good food, just what I was hoping for! The salsa was a bit mild but there was a pico de gallo with jalapeños that had a nice kick to it. My enchiladas verdes came quickly and both looked and tasted great. The menu was a lot of great options but not as many vegetarian options as I anticipated (there were the enchiladas of course, but there wasn't a vegetarian taco, torta, tamale, or burrito listed. I'm sure you can ask for one though).

The pozole was delicious! The staff seemed a little disinterested but it was early. The food was very good.

To give them five stars is a no brained. Really authentic Mexican. You know when you walk in it smells so good. Really cool hand painted chairs too. Like being in an art gallery of chairs. Mexican steak was delicious. Guacamole was creamy. Service was polite and checked in often.

If you like La Tapatia, but you live on the north side, then this is the place for you. They have the same fried taco recipe as the aforementioned south side staple (I think they're owned by brothers or cousins or something). Unlike La Tap, Mi Jac is a full restaurant, featuring an impressive remodel and addition within the last year or so. I've had most of the menu and it's all at least fair, if not quite good! However, it's the fried tacos that everyone clambers in the doors for. Carry out service is a giant part of their biz, with the tacos Fritos being the mainstay.Sidenote: you ever been offered (or just straight served) a cup of chicken noodle soup at a Mexican restaurant instead of (or in addition to) your basket of chips and salsa??? Well, that happens here.I usually pass, but it's so weird you gotta kinda love it.

A taco joint that brings It...Mi Jacalito is a neighborhood full service dive that has to fight its ass off because it's tough to be the "little dog" in the competitive "Crispy Taco" Racine marketThen again, maybe the "Best of the Best" because this is a "True" locals joint that has no need or desire for hype! Just friendly service and possibly the freshest tasting tacos around. I'm the first to say the crisped tacos served 4 per order are killer for breakfast! The perfect "set up" for a Racine Bar Crawl, be it before or after you imbibe...

The service atmosphere and food was amazing. Best Mexican dinner I have had in a long time! Salsa was served chill and it had a unique flavor and I loved it. I figured out their secret ingredient too. Highly recommended!
