I was so excited to try brunch here, but unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. I ordered the lamb chop bowl with pasta, a Cajun dish, and an iced tea. First, the iced tea wasn't available--but no one informed me until I asked, long after everyone else at my table had their drinks.Then came the food. For $38, I expected a well-portioned and flavorful meal, but the lamb chops were ridiculously small. The pasta was just penne with Cajun sauce and toast--completely missing the peppers and spinach that were listed on the menu.And the service? Terrible. When it was time to leave, we waited over 30 minutes for our server, only to be told we had to pay at the front--and that they couldn't split our checks. Meanwhile, he accepted payment at the table for other guests.Overall, the restaurant is beautiful but it was an extremely disappointing experience. Definitely not worth the price or the wait.

The establishment offers a warm and welcoming "Home Away from Home" atmosphere. It's a place where you can feel at home and share everything. If you're not seeking a cozy environment or live music, this may not be the right place for you. All dishes are prepared fresh, and it's a restaurant run by a black owner, although initially mistaken for a Mexican restaurant. Yes, the things I think, I know.On Sunday, April 21, 2024, I dined at this establishment for the first time with my church family. The staff were friendly, but they couldn't fulfill all our requests. Despite that, we enjoyed a delicious meal and had a moment for prayer and socializing.

I tell everyone about this place. Everything we've tried here has been delicious. Our favorite is the shrimp and grits. There is usually a wait, but I do not mind at all for this food as it's freshly made and always consistent. The prices are very affordable for what you get and they have specials on certain days. It's nice and cozy inside the restaurant. Don't change a thing.

Love this place. One of the few places in Milwaukee where I consistently get great food for a decent price. You know the reason why ? It's black owned and as the owner/chef, he strives for perfection every time. Service is always friendly and ambiance is super chill. They always have some upbeat music or jazz playing and some very comfortable seating. Food might take a while, but it's worth the wait.

So happy we dropped in for a date night. Mi Casa Su Cafe is such a welcoming place. My spouse and I ordered the shrimp and grits 2 for 1 special on Tuesdays and it was delicious. We moved to MKE from down south a bit over 2 years ago, and finding anything comparable was a reach. Do yourself a favor, skip the trendy spot downtown that is apparently known for their shrimp and grits, and drop in to Mi Casa for some grits that are creamy and seasoned to perfection. Eating here felt like walking into your favorite relatives house. Shoutout to staff for making us feel like regulars. So happy y'all are nearby. We will definitely be back to try some of the other dishes.

Great experience - Ordered the catfish sandwich which was well seasoned, piping hot and included better than average fries. Also ordered the Jerk Chicken Burrito with the upgraded garlic parmesan fries. The burrito was huge, seasoned wonderfully and had savory jerk sauce. Everything was served hot and fresh. Very good eats. We peaked through the pass thru to see the lounge. Looks like a great spot to a spirit and music during the cocktail hour. This restaurant and space is a secret gem overall.
