Melrose

Pretty good American family diner, but they have rather limited hours now. I most recently came for breakfast which was good but not better than the other area family diners. A few years ago when I came here, I remember seeing some Macedonian or Albanian dishes, I can't remember which but they made the place unique. Now they have only a couple of Greek dishes, or rather Greek-American dishes which are okay. I wonder if they changed hands, or the entrees I'm having trouble remembering just weren't big sellers. Friendly, prompt service.

What was once owned by two settlers is now recently owned by a new family that decided to change nothing of the menu when purchased because of what a local favorite restaurant this is, and I can see why. Warm welcomes, great staff, amazing and well-priced drinks! No wonder this place is a spot for locals and travelers!My mom got the Greek breakfast, my father the biscuits and gravy and I got the chicken and waffles with ROSEMARY SYRUP. oh-em-geeeeeee that syrup was so good I think I'm going to start infusing my syrup with it at home! Seriously, what a great idea! Needless to say, we all devoured our delicious meals and my mom and I usually don't finish it but the lamb in her omelette was juicy and crispy that just perfected the omelette. Good chunks of meat in the gravy and a lovely, and not dry, biscuit underneath for my dads meal. I highly suggest coming here if you're in the area looking for a great breakfast with a hometown feel and an overall great experience. Look no further than MelRose! And you won't be disappointed!

We had a great brunch at Melrose this past weekend. A little fuzzy from a family reunion the day before, this seemed like the perfect place for some comfort foods and a Bloody Mary. The Bloody Mary is absolutely crazy looking when it arrives at your table. I got the Greek Bloody and it can with half a meal attached to it. I was afraid I was going to be full by the time my actual food came. The skillet was pretty good. Nothing that stood out specifically but exactly what it was billed to be. Delicious, slightly greasy, and lots of flavors melded together. Overall this was a great experience. Service is friendly & prompt, restaurant is pretty clean, and food is great. What's not to love?

Great breakfast. Try the fruit harvest sauce. Its amazing and made on site. They also have amazing greek bloody mary

Soup and a Burger,Chicken dumpling soup is full of great flavor. The Bacon burher was huge, and juicy, bacon was done right and paired well with the cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce and a sliced tomato enhanced the flavor to better than average.

Great white tablecloth brunch location. Excellent food and service. I always enjoy it at Melrose. A bit pricey.

Decided to try this place for a late breakfast and we were very satisfied. We had some basic breakfast dishes like biscuits and gravy, the Melrose skillet with ham and other toppings and an egg dish with bacon toast etc. Everyone loved their dishes, the bacon is sooo delicious! So is the tomato juice. I also ordered a cup of chicken dumpling soup, that was great too. I'm pretty sure the OJ is freshly squeezed, quite tasty. When I come back into town I will definitely stop back in.

I have eaten here several times in the past as it was recommended by my niece and her husband. Now after taking my dad here one day, this is where he always wants to go. Very good selection of different items as I have had a couple different Omelettes (Pack attack, Ham and cheese), Gyros, turkey club. Everything I have had has been very good! Dad owned a restaurant in Illinois before retiring, so he appreciates a well run establishment. My sister has come with also and her grandkids love Melrose as well. Decor is very up to date and there are pics on other reviews, so I won't post. All I can say is our family loves this place! Highly recommended!

18% gratuity was automatically added so the server was less than attentive. Food has gone down hill from a few years back. Rushed to take order, kept saying next, next. He was on rude side. Had to ask for refills on drinks. Prices high.

Kinda feels like a large Milwaukee Greek Restaurant from 10-20 years ago. Ambiance a spacious B. Very good food, generous servings. French toast and bacon A. Signature patty melt A. Chicken dumpling home made style soup A- , the industrial chicken color was a bit too yellow/orange. Very good service at noon hour.
