Megawich - The Ultimate Sandwich

The place is clean. What surprised me was that the lady that took our order had gloves. After taking our orders she proceeded to handle food without changing gloves. It took about 10-15 minutes for the sandwiches to be ready so it would tell me that they made it from scratch. The sodas and water in the fridge are al Kroger brand. I got a "shrimp stalker" 12", and with a 25 percent tip it came out to almost $20.00 without chips and soda. That's a lot for a Sandwich that cost less than $3-4 to make. The sandwich was tasty but I just couldn't get past the gloves part.

I eat out a lot... And as a Chef who's owned 4 restaurants over the years, it honestly isn't often that I'm caught off guard by surprisingly really good food.Megawich is a light hearted & fun concept with silly names, but their sandwiches are no joke!! The balanced flavor & textures absolutely astonished my taste buds! Bold spices & seasoning... perfectly executed meat/cheese/sauce ratio, all on a local Sciortino's fresh baked Italian bread! ... I ordered the Chicken Catcher w Medium Hot spice & seasoned fries WOW!... Surprised, would be an understatement. It's a humble, simple, "no frills" sub-sandwich place, but w high quality ingredients & baffling bold flavors. I'm hooked! This is easily my new favorite casual go to!! (+On DoorDash)...And so I had to meet the owners! Wael & Adham are the nicest, most sincere & kind-hearted brilliant business men I've met in a very long time! The food was ok. The beef sandwich was definitely beefy but was seasoned differently than I expected. The French fries had their own special seasoning which made them taste off to me. I am sure many like them but it had some subtle seasoning that did not sit quite right with me. I ordered sandwiches for lunch and my friend got a turkey sandwich which was ok, but heavy on the mayo and cheap lettuce and felt as if it was not as loaded as the beef sandwich. Overall given their other ratings it was disappointing. The food was ok but I had hoped for better.

Megawhich on East Brady and Oakland avenue is serving up some remarkable fresh and authentic flavorful Megawiches (think Wisconsin size sandwiches but with fresh and healthy ingredients and incredible Sciortino breads baked a few blocks away).Immediately entering the restaurant you are greeted by the friendly staff, a clear pride in the cleanliness of the operation starting with the spotless floors and immaculate surfaces with a relaxing paint job.The restaurant is the brainchild of two Milwaukee friends one with a background in retail and another in marketing that decided to serve up healthy food in big portions Halal style.I ordered the shrimp striker on a twelve inch Sciortino roll. The sandwich was delicious. Tasted almost like a Cajun poor boy but a distinct eastern flavor with a medium spicy kick. The shrimp was perfectly prepared grilled. The sauce was very tasty, and the veggies on the sandwich were crispy fresh but cooked as well. My plan was to have a few bites then take it home for dinner. However after the first bite my neanderthal brain kicked in and I relaxed into a slumber like food relaxation state and before I knew it I had nearly finished the delectable creation. The sandwich had grilled and caramelized onions, peppers, tomatoes, a medium spice that enhanced the flavor profile, and grilled mushrooms.The staff was outstanding and one of the owners was walking the floor politefully greeting guests and pitching in with staff to make sure everything was top notch.I'll be back with friends to explore the rest of the menu! I stopped in after a night out on Brady Street. My friends and I usually grab hotdogs, but our usual spot had a long line. That said, we tried something new, and I definitely was not disappointed. The burger's thickness was perfect. The bread: delicious and fresh. I really appreciated the ratio of the toppings. I opted for the medium spicy sauce and it complimented the burger well. The restaurant's interior is nothing spectacular but it is a great unassuming joint for a tasty late-night burger.

Amazing sandwiches! I visited megawich for the first time well over a year ago. Back then I was super impressed with their food and made this known. However, since that time I have gone on a very strict diet that doesn't include red meat, fries, and soda, many of my favorite items, and certainly items that megawich prepares and serves to perfection. This stated, I just purchased their turkey sandwich and I believe it is the best turkey sandwich I have ever eaten. Plus, I believe thus sandwich is just within the limits if my new diet plan. What is so impressive about megawich is the fact that their menu is responsive to the feedback of the customer. I have noticed several new items since I first visited. Today I feel like a customer with two experiences of megawich food - both deserving of praise. Amazing food; amazing job, Megawich! Keep it up!

My recent experience was very disappointing. I ordered two 16 inch sandwiches, which should have been four 8 inch sandwiches total (since they don't have whole 16 inch bread). When I picked up the order and brought it home, I noticed they gave me only two 8 inches--half of what I paid for. I called the store to resolve the issue. Instead of addressing the mistake, the staff member insisted that she had packed all four pieces, suggesting I was either mistaken or lying. While the manager called me back and remained polite, the situation still wasn't resolved. I ended up paying for food I never received and feeling like my honesty was being questioned. Terrible customer service and accountability.

Food is great! Fresh and delicious.Customer service was also top notch.Its a takeout place, but I would certainly dine in since the staff is so inviting.Menu is clear and explains each choice.Looking for a good sammy? Get yourself over to Megawich!

Delicious food.. probably one of the best sandwich places in Milwaukee. Worth trying if you're in the area

Nothing Mega about this place aside from the wait. Twenty minutes to get subs out that were half filled at best.
