Meat's Opera Haus

When I am visiting St. Nazianz, no trip is complete without going to Meat's. It is the local Pub with the local flair and that welcoming Wisconsin attitude. The food and drinks are great. I've had the Burgers and the Fireman's Sandwich and they were nicely done. One hint, get your own fries, lol. The fries are so good you will not want to share. Just a great place. If I lived here year round I'd probably be a regular.

I had the patty melt! It was so big I cut it in half and doubled it on the bread! Sooo good!! We went back the next week and had it again!! Bartenders are friendly and fun and service was excellent!

Best patty melt I ever had. It was humongous and oh so tasty. I little greasy but that is we're the flavor is. My wife had the fried chicken and that was delicious as well. Good prices too.

You know that bar in Boston where everybody knows your name? Well there's one in St. Nazianz, WI too! Besides the church, this place has been the cultural center to this tiny town for decades. The new owner (Meat) has shined it up a bit and fixed up the old dance hall to host all types of events, from family reunions to All-Star Wrestling (really more like no star!). You can expect good food and friendly service every time you come. Wednesday and Saturday nights are steak night, Friday night Fish Frys and Weekend Family Style Breakfasts. All are great and inexpensive! Great burgers and soup available every night. Good old fashions too!

Great food. Great service. Great beer. Great drinks. Great water. Historic. Great prices.

This casual sports bar boasts a large group of Friday fish specials. Baked haddock, fried perch, cod, or walleye. Husband got double order of haddock perfect for the low carb eater. I got perch sandwich. Both were great! ORDER &3 DESSERT! I am a dessert connoisseur and found the raspberry trifle to be in the top 10 desserts I've ever eaten. Perfectly sweet without being over sweet. Rich. Tasted very fresh and homemade. Comfy seating on the non-bar side. Banquet chairs. Good wait staff and multiple people asking how things were as they walked by. A+

Okay. I stopped in for dinner last night. HOLY MOLY. Ordered 1/4 a broasted chicken. It came with a choice of potato (I picked fries), veggie (I picked corn) and bread. It was a lot of food. The chicken was lightly breaded and not at all greasy.It was the best I have had in a really long time. I know I mentioned you need to stop for breakfast but try dinner too!

It is definitely a locals bar. When you walk in and the bar is full, sometimes it doesn't feel very inviting but the food and drinks are always good. Plus you can bring the whole family! The service is usually good, depending on whos working the bar/grill.

Always great, Breakfast, lunches or Friday fish, or some of the weekly specials. Active place and constantly improving decor and menu.Bartenders always have conversations and are attentive to a empty glass.Good Folks
