Would have rated higher except for the small pours for whiskey. Exactly a shot not a drop more.

This bar is Racine's long-standing ground zero for live music. A perfect room for patrons and musicians alike. A solid sound system is run by a small cast of local pros. The room provides an intimate setting for a real connection between audience and performer. The stage is more than adequate for elbow room in bands of most sizes. The bar is lined end to end with taps from the ubiquitous macros, local micros & imports aplenty. A string of glass-front fridges supply most of the other usual suspects in bottle form.A cherished hometown institution.

This is an Irish Pub... really? They have a really nice beer selection, and within that selection is one of my new favorite breweries Furthermore. The staff is nice and a couple dart boards in the back. The jukebox is kinda limited...If your on a bar crawl in Racine McAuliffe's Pub is worth checking out. But it's not a place to go out of your way for unless you really were looking for Furthermore.

I am mainly giving 5 stars especially because of JJ. He is one of the best owners I have ever met! I first met JJ at Milwaukee Irish Festival. I then went to JJ's twice to see the Fenians, my favorite celtic band. (Known these guys since 1999 and the lead singer helped my husband propose. Currently, they are not touring but they are playing in California and a few areas.) McAuliffe's Pub has a great number of national celtic bands and relatively unknown eclectic bands. The place is a little hard to find, tucked behind a strip mall, but I am glad I went both times! I wish I could go for other bands he has. If you are within driving distance of Racine - like Northern IL or Milwaukee area, just check out his website and go visit some weekend!website: http://www.mcauliffespub.com/or he has a myspace page as well.

J.J. is only nice to patrons who give him cash. Not a good way to get more business...

Visited this venue more that any other over the last 10 years touring the states. This place has heart and soul that can only be created by the people and the owner - JJ has a heart of gold and is a huge supporter of live music, bands and heritage.

Good bartender. Owner stepped on customers business and was way rude. Power trip. Dumpy, dirty bar.

Charging a cover for bands is fine and all, but who the fuck carries cash anymore? Pointing to the ATM doesn't count - paying to get my money is bullshit. Join us in 2018 and get ApplePay or at least a Square swiper. Or shit, have an iPhone and let us text you via ApplePay Cash. There are too many options you could use to only accept cash. It's unacceptable.
