Took by dad to lunch at a place he likes. He warned me that the crowd here is pretty old and he was right. I thought I was in the dining room of a senior living complex.Despite the atmosphere the service and the food were very good. My dad got the 1/2 sandwich and soup special which he really liked. I opted for their gyro which was huge and quite good. It actually could have used a few more onions but that is a minor quibble.The prices were reasonable. A great place for lunch - just don't expect a hot spot for the Gen Z crowd.

The food is OK. The house specialty, the gyro,Is good; although I wish that it came altogether and not with the meat, salad, and pita breadseparately. The service is OK. Although my server at breakfast could have checked on us as she completely disappeared during breakfast. She could have been nicer, too. The ambiance is nice when it's not packed. Sundays afternoons can be really busy! Fortunately, staff like Pablo always make us feel welcomed. Kudos on the breakfast tacos, they were fantastic! ***Visited Maxims for the first time during COVID. We picked Maxims for an obliged in-door dining experience on a Friday night and we assumed that, since they are popular among the senior community, they must follow safety guidelines thoroughly. But unfortunately shortly after our dinner was served, our server stopped wearing her mask while attending her tables; staff came out of the kitchen to talk to a table without a mask, and as I looked around, other staff members were also operating without masks. We were enjoying our dinner, which was fantastic, but that quickly changed. Patrons are also making an effort in being out there supporting local businesses. And to some of us, following the guidelines is extremely important.Unfortunately, we won't be going back during this pandemic. We like Maxims and hopefully they'll acknowledge what being safe is whamatters to some customers.

I ate at Maxims on a Saturday afternoon with a group of around 12. This place is perfect for that. We got there a bit before the reservation and the table was ready. Everything went smoothly from ordering, to paying. I really appreciated that as sometimes it can be a hassle to get separate checks or to eat with a group. I ordered a skillet off of the breakfast menu and found the portions to be great and it was tasty too. No one complained about their food so that's a good sign also. This place is large and is great to bring groups, or to stop in for a casual meal.

Maxim's is so consistent with their high quality of food and service. Year after year, they deliver. Every time I come home to Wisconsin I stop here and folks don't know how luck they are to have such a place. In LA, if they bring your food, that's half the size and twice the price, without messing up your order they're expecting a 30% tip on top of a 10% state and local sales tax. Cherish what you have!

We went here on a very busy Sunday morning, but we got seated very quickly! Our waitress was great and come back very often never leaving our coffee or water empty! Our food come out super quick after ordering. All of the food tasted super fresh, and we even got some complementary coffee cake! Food and drinks where overpriced and low quality. We went for breakfast and where not impressed at all. The food was bland, hash browns undercooked, toast was burned. They charged $4.50 for a cup of orange juice. I don't mind paying a good breakfast but this was not it. Staff was friendly and quick so there is that.
