Maurer's Market IGA

Not the best selection. Prices seemed a little higher than they would be elsewhere. At least it was walking distance from where we were. Store was clean and seemed well organized, staff was friendly enough.

Every day, well almost every day, I drive around and go to maurers because it's the quickest drive to a nearby store. And I love this place. It's a convenient place that's always near town. I have been going here for about 5 years and I've never had a single problem..but one. I've noticed through all the years the cleanliness of the bathrooms isn't the best.. the bathrooms can be quite dirty. Once there was mold and dirt on the floors including the windows, and unflushed toilets with toilet paper everywhere. Plus there's only three bathroom stalls. I know that the owner/ employees are very aware that lots of people come in and out to use the bathroom but have they ever considered to maybe add at least a few more bathrooms or bathroom stalls? It would probably help the business. Over all the employees are usually nice but not very communicative. The food at this place and the snacks are very trendy, like Takis, Ramen noodles, and more. I love this place and I will continue to go there! If your planning for a small drive to a nearby grocery store in the dells, try maurers!!

On vacation and had to stop and pick up some essentials. This place was clean and had everything we needed. Cereal, coffee, juice, milk, snacks etc. etc. I was very excited as I walked in the door and saw a huge bag of "Lucky Charms" marshmallows for sale! I had to have it. This is a great store and staff is very friendly.

The store was clean and convenient. Prices were insane. $4.29 for a Jack's pizza. Most workers were nice except the older man that was bagging groceries. He was rude and grumpy. We are going to go again but only because it is the only one around.

I've lived here for 27 years and I'm all about supporting Mom and Pop businesses but will no longer do my weekly grocery shopping here. The cashiers aren't trained,dont even know enough to keep meat and frozen things separate from other groceries Very slow scanning and manager doesn't seem to care about customer service. Very sad as I've shopped at Zinkes for years and the customer service is terrible. Will start shopping at Festival, I'm not the only one that sees the store has went downhill. The manager can't take constructive criticism and very defensive and impatient . There's too many other stores that will appreciate my business. .

Just posting this comment to clarify that they close at 10:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Yelp lists them closing at 9:00 p.m. :(

As some of you may know, I have battling a nagging health problem.Hence...I have not been tooling around town in my new sports car...as much as I would like.Hopped into "old betsey" and headed into town to get my blood tested, yesterday.Decided to whip over to Zienky's for some grocerys. As an aside, it is now named Maurer's.The aisles were re-arraigned, so I needed help from employees, to navigate the new layout. They couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. All in all, my visit could not have been more enjoyable. Don't miss a visit to the deli. Scrumptious fried chicken and a wonderful bakery. This place is one-in-a-million. My only explanation for the negative reviews...employees from competitive grocery stores. Loved the new look, and I will definitely be back...Glen B.

Was there today. One of the cashiers, an old woman, not wearing a mask. You'd think a so-called family business would do everything possible to make it a safe place. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I love to support local small business and this place is convenient in location and has a lot to offer, but I shop the weekly sales and never once have I had a trip that I actually got the sale prices on everything. Jacks pizza last week was supposed to be 3bucks, I paid 7 a piece for four of them and two were the sale price, when I questioned it, only some toppings were on sale according to her, but when I asked why the were all stacked together with the sale price on cooler she said it was the shoppers job to ask which ones were on sale like what!?!? So many times I'm over charged and have too many kids or too short of time to even argue with them... I also bought two salads last week that had mold in them and when I looked at the best by date they were 3 days over the day I bought them... lots of time there product is not switched out, we've bought cheese slices that were molded together too.. management hasn't been nice when we have approached the subject so we will just shop elsewher.

The cashier didn't greet us. Only said "$5.13" and "do you want a receipt." My husband said thank you she never did.
