Mapleton Barn

Although this is known for being a wonderful event venue, we had the pleasure of attending Pizza At the Barn tonight at this location. This was a unique and wonderful way to spend a summer evening with friends, and the food offered was perfect.The Pizza At the Barn event is held a few times in summer months and requires reservations since it has become very popular. Families with children, adults and a mix of all of these can enjoy bringing chairs or blankets for dinner and drinks while listening to easy live music. Kids played ball and ran around the farm, enjoying their time as much as the adults. Let me start at the beginning. We made reservations for 6 of us at 5:45. This means we order our hand-created pizzas at 5:45 and have them made to our preferred tastes from the amazing Flour Girl and Flame hardwood oven. The 900 degree oven cooks your food in 90 seconds to a crispy delicious perfection and you take it to your chosen spot on the farm property. There are drinks for sale in the venue barn and the costs on all of these are very reasonable. The music starts at 5:30 and tonight was acoustic guitar and two singers who were so mellow and made a great background to our conversations. This event is great for families, singles, and date nights. We six friends had easy conversations while enjoying healthy food, fresh drinks and music that all blended together for an evening we plan to recreate as soon as possible.

Today We enjoyed a wonderful wedding of a dear family member. Festivities started at 330-400 and went all night long. They have a large barn setting for bar and appetizer service, then roll into dinner. Our meal was pasta, chicken, meatballs, greens for salad, mini bread slices, desserts (we had Italian cookies). Note: The Barn does not have air conditioning. It was 96 degrees today, they opened the barn doors to let the breeze naturally cool the guests. I saw 100+ people and the barn handled it well. They have parking for 50-60 cars. Bathrooms are in the barn's lower level, they can handle 3-4 people at a time. I recommend and will return.
