Unfortunately only three stars for this place, although the food hall it is in is very cool.I had just had lunch at the Food Hall and was craving something sweet and saw they had boba drinks. They're a bit pricey, $7, but that does include the actual boba.I got the brown sugar milk tea and the taste was not great, it has oat milk in it supposedly so maybe that's why but I've had a lot of bubble tea in my life and this was just so-so, unfortunately.I'm still drinking it (as you can tell in the photo I posted, it's half gone) because it has black tea in it as well and I could use some caffeine today. The boba itself is okay though, I saw another review on here criticizing it.I can't speak to their smoothies or bowls but I probably wouldn't order boba from here again.

I have been looking for a good Acai bowl spot in Milwaukee since I discovered them about 10 years ago. I have found some local spots, but the Acai was soupy. Make Waves offers their bowls with firm Acai that is cold and stays that way long enough for you to finish.I also appreciate that the granola is layered - many other spots just put it on top and before you're halfway through, you're already out of the added toppings/ingredients.They do offer smoothies and boba too, but since they're a vendor in 3rd St Market Hall, I take my bowl to the bar and order a cocktail to go with it.Make Waves is the current vendor in the food hall that I frequently return to.

Walked into the 3rd market food hall to grab a cooling drink on a hot summer day. I waited in line for nearly 30 mins to get a simple cup of bubble tea. There was only one employee taking the orders and making them, which was the main reason for the long wait, I don't blame him, but they ought to have more people running the shop on a Sunday afternoon. The drink didn't make me feel like the wait was worth it either. I wnjoy boba and have had bubble tea a couple hundred times in my life and this one was by far the worst I've had. The tapioca bubbles were chewy and undercooked. The tea recipe said it had oat milk, but as you can see, the tea was dark and had no sign of any oat milk. I did ask the employee if he could add more milk to my drink, but he strongly refused and said it wasnt a part of the recipe.

I really liked the lavender lemonade boba lemonade part, but the boba texture was a bit hard and undercooked for me. Service was great though! And it's super pretty. There were some interesting flavor combos, so I would definitely come back.

They have several appetizing options and since this was my first visits, I went with a mango boba tea and their sweet potato curry wrap. The tea was refreshing for a summer day and the wrap was tasty and perhaps a bit overstuffed (not exactly a problem). I look forward to trying their other wraps and the berry smoothie bowl that looks quite yummy.

I'm reviewing the PB and Jammin smoothie. It's the only smoothie I had because I can't ingest them all right now. Maybe over the next few weeks I can. BUT the PB and Jammin is good, good for me! Not too fruity and just enough PB flavor to let you know its there but not taking over the party.

We had a rather large smoothie order; all of our smoothies were correct, really, REALLY yummy and the staff was super nice. Next time we are in the MKE, we will be swinging by, for sure!

Takes a whole hell of a lot to upset me. This place? Pissed me off. When we initially ordered, nobody was there. We placed an order for two beverages. Where the lady had told us they were cooking the bobas now and it'll be about "5-7" minutes until they would be ready. No problem, all good!We walked around the marketplace, slowly and took our time. My wife had saw a coffee kiosk next to make waves where she ordered a coffee for her tomorrow, got our drink and now we wait for the boba. By this time it's already been 20 minutes. My wife uses the bathroom, comes back and sits at a table. It's been 25 minutes. Two other people order and walk away. Three employees are literally sitting around doing nothing but shooting the shit. Still, I'm standing around and now it's been 30-35 minutes since I ordered. I see the lady making drinks now it's not our drinks. I stand in front and she makes eye contact with me several times, by this point I look like an idiot just standing around. My wife gets up, asks about our drinks? Oh- I forgot. Why do you think I've been standing there staring at you?Why I ventured out over here, beats me. But I'm sorry goes a long way. Self-awareness does too. Have a clue, pay attention. You served two customers in the last 40 minutes, maybe type a note on your phone you've been paying attention more then your work.No apology, no nothing.Drinks sucked.Place sucked too.

While at work I decided I wanted to get a smoothie bowl. Although the taste was there the texture was definitely not that of a bowl. It was more of a juice soup with cut up fruit in it. I might try something else from there at another time but only if I'm not closer to a different smoothie shop. The shop help wasn't that great as well. She kind of seemed aggravated to be there and was talking to a friend when I got there. They made it seem like I was interrupting their conversation.
