Main Street Cafe

Second day in Hartford WI doing a little flight training at CubAir. The wife and I decided to try Main Street Cafe (walking distance to our hotel) for a late lunch. Very clean comfortable dining area. Food tasted good and the service was excellent.

Not bad for a local cafe. A moderate size menu offers just about anything for almost anyone.Street parking in front and a shared parking lot in the rear. The help is polite and know their jobs, as for the food ...it's good food, but pricey for what you get through a downtown cafe spot.The facility in general is clean and well kept. The owners obviously favor the idea of simplicity and there is nothing wrong with that as long as the end product spells success.Bland in appearance, but they are doing great work in the food they serve.

I like this place because it's one of the very few places in Hartford that has breakfast ALL DAY and doesn't close around lunch or dinner time. I love breakfast food but I'm not a morning person. The breakfast food is just average, not delectable but not terrible either. I've never had anything from their lunch or dinner menu because I always get the breakfast. The service is always really great, servers are very nice and attentive, I've never had to wait long for anything there. The ambience is kind of weird/boring there, there's not much of a "vibe" there at all. They don't serve alcohol beverages there but it's conveniently located right downtown so if you wanted a Bloody Mary/ Mimosa before or after getting breakfast there you could easily walk over to Bankshot or Mineshaft and get one at the bar. Drink menu there is just juices, milks, sodas and obviously water.

Main Street Cafe has gone hill yet again since the last time I rated it in August. The prices have increased drastically and you get less as everything is extra. Ordered 2 eggs, then they charge another 75 cents for toast, another 75 cents for hash browns and a staggering price of 2.50 for 2 strips of bacon. To top it off they charge a service charge if you use a credit card and they will not take a debit card.Never have I ordered a breakfast of eggs and was charged for each extra, toast has always been included with breakfasts and most times a meat too.I understand prices increased but this is nearly a 80% increase if you ordered just 2 eggs. Two eggs, toast and bacon $10.50 plus 3% service charge is way too much for a small town restaurant and we will not be returning anytime soon.

Food is good . Service is great. Been eat there three years. Go in for breakfast away full of people

Great food great prices awesome service. My sons is friends with the owners kids so it give a small town feel. Great place for a bite to eat

This is our go-to for breakfast, lunch or dinner when we don't feel like cooking. Some of my favorites are: steak sandwich with mushrooms, crepes with fresh strawberries, the grilled cheese with ham, two egg breakfast with ham, hash browns and sour dough toast! They don't have the best burgers in town, not bad just not great, but I love everything else. We come in maybe 3-5 times per month. Great, welcoming place!

I went to Main Street Cafe for the first time last night with five family members. We are all very glad we went. The service was fast, and the waitress was friendly and polite. The food was fantastic! Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The portions were generous. The restaurant was clean and had kind of a home-cooking type of atmosphere. The only drawback was the parking situation, which was not the fault of the restaurant. I absolutely will eat there again and will recommend Main Street Cafe to everyone I know in the area.

Awesome food, awesome service, great prices! They have a wide variety on their menu. I'm never disappointed.
