Machos Tacos

I was going to do the new restaurant of the week somewhere else but me being me and always looking into strip malls looking for new restaurants I saw this place and I stopped. This was a pizza place that I never desired to try because of the bad reviews and I never even noticed them disappearing from the strip mall. It's now a Mexican restaurant that's a week old with no dinners and a la carte menu only with specials on the weekends which is pozole and something noodles. The young woman working the counter was friendly. You get West of 92nd st and it's a desert for Mexican food so it's nice to have a Mexican restaurant that's not a food truck from another neighborhood.I ordered the Al pastor burrito with added cilantro and onions and like most places they just don't get it because they put a sprinkle in the burrito vs a mound on a taco so you can't really taste it defeating my request. The burrito was tasty al pastor pork, lettuce, tomato and beans with no rice filler. The al pastor pork was above average with a red paste vs a loose sauce so every chunk is coated in flavor. I will definitely have to get back for the pozole and try it because I haven't had some in a while, it's a Saturday/Sunday special by the way.

We're so excited to have Machos Tacos in the neighborhood! We called ahead and ordered steak tacos, nachos, and a chicken quesadilla. We walked in to pick up our order - we were greeted and given our food right away. Even though it's located inside a strip mall, inside is cute and clean! The food was packaged nicely and everything was piping hot! The nachos were HUGE! We really enjoyed everything we ordered. The price was a bit high but that's ok because the quality was fantastic and I like supporting local businesses! I hope to have this place around for a long time. Get to it!

Really solid "Machos Nachos". It's made with chorizo which adds just the right amount of heat. I rarely eat an entire order of nachos from other places, but I do here! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Everything I've had from here is great.

Service was quick and food was good! Tried a few different things but the tacos are definitely the star. Meat was well cooked with the right amount of toppings. Good flavor from the salsas as well.

Everything was super fresh and tasted excellent!! We had chicken tacos, asada nachos and yuevos rancheros, and guacamole! Amazing hidden gem!
