Café Lulu is such a great spot in Bayview! My recent visit was nothing short of fantastic, from the food to the service.We started with the housemade chips with bleu cheese dip--crispy, perfectly seasoned, and the dip was creamy and tangy in all the right ways. For mains, we had the blackened shrimp Caesar salad, which was fresh and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice on the shrimp. The bahn mi sandwich with slaw was a standout: tender flank steak, bold flavors, and the slaw added a great crunch. To top it all off, we shared a piece of apple pie that was warm, perfectly spiced, and felt like a hug on a plate. Wish I would have taken more pics of the food as all of it was presented beautifully!A huge shoutout to Caleb, our bartender, for his friendly and attentive service.The cozy festive vibe, delicious food, and stellar service make Café Lulu a must-visit. Can't wait to come back!

So this time my "phone did not eat first"! Whoops!Ordered to-go and by time we got back to the house we were just talking and dove right into the delicious homemade chips and then next thing we knew the food was more than half gone! If that doesn't tell you how yummy it was then I don't know what else to tell you! I haven't been to Lulu Cafe and Bar since college! We ordered the Mediterranean Steak Pita and Chipotle Chicken Pita both pitas consisted of very fresh flavors, generously filled with toppings. The food arrived on time per the online ordering window we got there a little early and patiently waited at the bar. They do have a couple parking spots in the alley but there is of course street parking all over the place we lucked out and there was a parking spot right in the alley open!

We were recommended to come here from a friend and I'll be honest we all found it to be very average at best. Our server was friendly and accommodating, but the food itself was a bit bland. I also think the menu is a bit all over the place and in my opinion they'd do best creating a more shortened menu with specialty items. The four of us were all very meh about the food here. My cocktail was good however.

Always loved cafe lulu but had a weird experience this weekend. Came in for brunch and they had a latke option (though they didn't call it that). Asked if I could get apple sauce or sour cream- the server said i wouldn't like it (what?). Asked again when the food was brought and it was clearly a latke and it was another employee. She also told me I wouldn't like it because there were chives in the latke? Again if they just didn't have these as options i would understand but two different staff told me I wouldn't like a potato latke with chives and sour cream or applesauce. This is super common-a quick google search shows it. But also...I can't imagine telling someone else what they'd like? Applesauce on a latke is not weird. In any way.

Lulu Cafe and Bar is a fantastic spot that I'd gladly visit again. I had the Mexi-Cali Burger with a side of chicken and vegetable soup. The burger was delicious--juicy and flavorful--but could use a bit more toppings to really elevate it. The soup was excellent, hearty, and comforting. Their drink selection is impressive; I tried the Blooming Butterfly, which was incredibly fresh and flavorful--I'd happily have it again and again! Overall, great food, drinks, and atmosphere.

Menu needs to be updated and this place needs to have better pictures. The place is pretty busy for a Wednesday night it's my first time going at this place. Ambiance was a little bright for me but it's very spacious. Food just good could have added more flavor on the marinate but I enjoyed it.Loved the home made chips though I didn't drink it had a lot of choices of locally brewed beers and good selection of wine.

What's not to love about Lulu Cafe (Cafe Lulu)? Funky fresh vibe, art on the walls, good service and something on the menu for everyone. I don't come here often enough. Had a great salmon salad on special, recently. the Waldorf Salad is a perennial favorite, as is a flatbread, the Faux Banh Mi. The craft beer menu is great, featuring the best of the craft Midwest! This place is good for a friend meetup because volume levels are okay for a conversation.

After all these years of living in Milwaukee, this was my first time to Lulu. I have to say, it was my mistake. The food, service, and atmosphere was all wonderful.We were greeted immediately by a very welcoming host and then shortly after by a very friendly server. We sat on the patio and had a great time watching all the cars and bikers and people walking by. We ordered a beer each, the faux banh mi sandwich, and the East Indian chicken pita. We both ordered our sandwiches with "a little of each" of the homemade potato chips and Asian coleslaw. Everything was fresh and tasty. The steak on the faux banh mi was cooked perfectly and I really enjoyed the level of sesame oil in the Asian slaw.It was a really lovely evening. I'll definitely be returning!

This spot is quickly becoming my favorite place to grab lunch in town. The servers are lovely, easy to pop in during the week and sit down right away. To-go orders are great too! Everything I've tried has been awesome. My top 2 items that I order every time are the potato chips and the Asian slaw. I've been sticking with the pita sandwiches for my main bc they're so great for lunch - East Indian, falafel, and the veggie are top tier. Eat here!
