Just started working in this area and was pleasantly surprised to fine Luke's which I previously frequented in downtown Chicago. I started with the basics upon which I'll comment here and as the weeks pass I willl review other fine Luke's cuisine. The basics are a dog, fries, and a pop. The ordering experience was simple and straightforward. Literally 10 seconds after I paid my food was ready so, service A+. The dog was done precisely to the chicago dog standard. Proper attention was paid to the right amount of celery salt (many others get this wrong). Dog was exactly as expected A+. The drink.was self-serve so I poured an orange pop. I am pleased.to annkunce the syrup to soda ratio was perfect. PERFECT I tells ya! Fries were abundant, crunchy on the outside and salted to perfection, A+. Drinks A+. Honorable mention to the ketchup from a squeeze bottle which was very good! A 5 star experience on the basics. Stay tuned as I work my way through their menu in the coming weeks. RECOMMENDED!

Last few meals have been so-so. Had the Philly cheese steak sandwich. Asked for cheddar cheese and was given white cheese. On top of that, there was little to no steak on the sandwich. Fries were cold as well. Not the best experience.

The Gyros was awesome! The pita was tender. The staff were friendly. The place was comfortable. There were many items to choose from . I would also like to try Luke's in Chicago . This is my kind of Chicago style eat in or take out resturant The bottles of water were reasonably priced also

I had the pleasure of going today to Luke's for lunch and I was so surprised at the size of the pizzas slices. It was amazing. It was one of the best pizzas I've had in a long, long time the price was insane and on top of that I ordered a pizza to go. The line was incredibly long, which shows how many people love this place. I love this place they have ribs they have many other things. It's quirky and all types of people were there. A strong 5 stars and the little older hostess was so nice and did a great job.

Been a long time customer of Luke's. I have always enjoyed their food. I particularly enjoy their Grilled Chicken Sandwich. We do takeout and it is usually flawless, the one time it was not they went out of their way to ensure it was made right. Great customer service and food!

Delivery was faster than predicted and food is always good at Luke's. Ordered Italian beef, gyro, onion rings and corn dogs and everything was cooked perfectly.

Few restaurants deserve a 5-Star for gluten free items, but Luke's gluten free pizza was The Bomb!! Excellent quality and the toppings were very generous.

I had to stop in Lake Bluff on the way back to Wisconsin from a Cubs game and it was just about dinner time. I didn't have time for a sit down restaurant and didn't want the usual fast food options, so I chose to give Luke's a try. I ordered a plain gyro meal with fries and soda and also got an order of cheese sticks.I appreciate that they have a Coke freestyle machine for soda. Mellow Yellow Zero isn't easy to find, but freestyle machines are usually good about having it and theirs was no exception.The cheese sticks were fine. I'd probably try a different appetizer again next time, but wouldn't discourage others from getting the sticks.Both the taste and shape of Luke's fries reminded me of McDonalds fries. They were hot, crispy, perfectly salted, and you get way more in an order than the picture I took shows.The gyro was fantastic. The pita was soft and moist without being greasy and the meat was not dry at all also without being greasy. It's right up there with the best gyros I've had and makes Luke's my new go to when I find my way home from Chicago and passing through Lake Bluff.
