Luke's Market Street Italian Sandwiches

Mediocre at best.I've been told that Luke's used to be really good. I've not had that experience.If you've ever watched "Restaurant Impossible" and wondered if kitchens truly do get their entire menu from the freezer and just heat it up for you, I assure you, it definitely happens.Now, to be fair, I've never seen anything that looked unsanitary as is sometimes on that program, it's just.... Very adequate. It feels very tired, which is a shame, as it appears to be a family run place.I hope they can wake things up a bit and shake off the cobwebs - I'd love to love this place!

I was desperate for some authentic Chicago-style Italian grub while in a road trip but with a sleeping kid in the back seat I knew it was drive thru or bust. When I saw the sign for Luke's I was hopeful. After a bit of a drive thru wait (no problem for us, it just let her sleep longer) I got an excellent Italian beef sandwich with sweet peppers, grilled onions, mozzerella, and of course dipped in beef stock. It was heaven in a bite. High quality and huge portions. I found the staff to be very friendly, apologizing for the wait in line (when it's real food I'm waiting for I don't mind a bit) and helpful with my menu selections.I was glad Luke's was there to feed my craving! They are an unassuming spot next to a shopping center, a hidden gem for Italian beef sandwiches. Definitely stop by and check them out

Very cool place! If you're looking for good food and a variety of food at that this is the place for you. They have interesting old-timey decor from the early 1900s. You are welcomed by the friendly staff and offered your choice of 4 different kinds of fries. This is the first place that I have been to that offers that. I got the gyro and coated fries. The gyro comes with a delicious Tzatziki sauce and the fries are hot and crispy. It was a great stop and was a fun time. I definitely see going back on another one of my trips to Wisconsin.

Such a cute place with fast service. Food was fresh and yummy. Try one of their wraps or a Chicago dog! We liked the waffle fries too.

The food is awesome and I really want to support local businesses during this but when you can see that not a single employee or person in the kitchen is wearing a mask during this is sends a very clear message that they're not doing anything to protect themselves or others. I love this place and hope they switch policies about this but until then I guess I'll be supporting big evil corporations like McDonald's or Culver's that are taking it seriously.

Very cute place! Seems to be mostly family-owned. The inside of the place is decorated old-fashioned almost. The workers are all very polite and the service is great. I would 100% recommend this place and I will be eating here again. Very yummy french fries!

New Owners have cleaned this place up really well. I stopped in on the 1st day they re-opened. I stopped in N wow what a refreshing Nostalgic place. We had a beef with a healthy portion of meat on very fresh bread. Their Gyro was the best I've ever had. Lamb right off the spitter. If you tried it before n was disappointed You need to try it again. I noticed they also lowered many prices on their items

New ownership reopened Luke's and kudos they are doing a great job!!! Food was fresh and delicious and price comparable! Keep up the good work!! Glad to see you open again!

I ordered from Luke's a week ago because I was having a large group over for dinner. I ordered the Party Pack 6. The food was ready when my husband picked it up, and all the pans were clearly labeled. The meal was fantastic!! The Italian Beef was fantastic, with plenty of gravy to put on the sandwiches. All of the accompanying sides, from the Turano bread, to the sweet peppers to the sausage and meatballs, were tasty, hot and delicious. I will be ordering again from them soon. It's great to have Luke's in the area!

Tried to charge an extra 10$ for a fry and soda this place is a scam you are better off taking your money elsewhere.
