Lucy's Hideaway

Decided to give this place a chance again. Friday our service was great, the young man seemed to want to earn his tip. Bluegill and fried cod were just ok. Sunday afternoon we went for a bite before I had to go to work. Walk up to the bar and get ignored for a few minutes. Waitress took our order, just two sodas, a burger and a wrap. 45 min later we're still sitting there without even a check in or update for us. Paid for our sodas and left. What is it with this place and its employees? Do none of them like to make money?! We may not be regulars but we are locals who go out a lot. Bye

Long story short, no help, food was all wrong, waitress fought with me about things that were wrong, waited over an hour for our food to come. No apologies, just a snotty waitress who said she didn't cook it and too bad! Won't be back. I get it it places are short staffed but seriously, train your staff to be gracious and explain things nicely to the guests.

Total whim of a stop for us, on our way from Madison back to Chicago. We stopped for a beer and a sandwich. Sitting at the bar you could tell it was a mix of mostly locals and weekenders. We both shared a sandwich and we on our way. Definitely stop-worthy

Acheap spot for cheap food and beers. Not a bad thing, but not a place to get good food but a spot on the road to get frozen or premade meals made to order. The only thing Korean about the tacos were the scallions. Shredded cheddar cheese isn't Korean. Waitresses aren't knowledgeable about menu items but that isn't surprising given the food. A note to the wait staff: if you drop off a check, you need to go back to the table to collect the payment. It's not self explanatory that you have to go back to the bar to pay after being waited on.

The food is awesome, love the Lucy burger! Great atmosphere. Bloody Mary's very tasty. Nice tables to sit outside and enjoy the weather!

My wife and I are senior citizens (with a capital S), but we like to dance, and listen to music that pre-dates "jump-jump" music, if you know what I mean. We have been to Lucy's on several occasions. We usually eat first, then wait for the music. Recently, we saw 2 different groups. Tony Rocker was the first, and was great! the last time we were there, we heard a band called the Fort Nigng Band. While they were warming up it appeared they may be talented musicians. However, as they started to play their first set, the volume went up to the point of painful to our ears. I went over to the man on the sound board, and asked if he had a decibel meter, as sound over 90 decibels over a period is said to cause damage to hearing. He pulled out his cell, and the meter reading was 100-115 decibels! When I asked him to cut it back 10-20, he referred me to another man who was videoing on his phone, When I asked him to lower the sound level, another person, who I thought might be management, was also shouting that others were complaining over the volume as well. We tried to dance the second # after my request, and my wife noticed the hard beats were causing me to wince, We decided to leave, and as we passed the man said to be in control, he suggested we might be happier standing at the far end of the room away from the pand. talking to friends several days later, that had seats in the bar room several feet further from the dance floor, said they found the sound levels uncomfortable as well. The food was good, and the service as good as could be expected, as the room was understaffed. The waiter for our table also seemed to be working both ends of the bar, and serving tables as well, but was polite and attentive.

Okay I agree with some of this the math on the receipts. It is prob a system error but still inexpensive for small town WI just get the right stuff and manage your expectations. Burgers great and Wings excellent. Wed is Pasta night Chicken Parm was good spaghetti was nostalgic:). Okay Brandy old fashioned for $3.00 would be $12 in the city so have fun listen to some fun cover bands and have a good time. Make sure to invest in pull tabs and spin the wheel.

service is absolutely terrible super slow, takes forever to order food and takes even longer to get it, i recommend going 5 mins down the road to 59's or lake view, service is so bad

Since ownership changed the kitchen closes at 8:00. Because of this, we ordered food "to go" so we could get food. We stayed and had drinks (6). When we paid our tab there was. $1.00 charge per "to go" box. If want to recover the cost of your "to go box" charge more for your food, don't charge me for a box. What if I ate in your bar, would you charge $1.00 per box if I took food home?! This place is a joke. I used to go there 2-3 times a week now I will no go back. Hello Cove!

The price was kind of expensive but overall they had great service even though they were packed and The food was great the waitresses were really nice it was clean.
