Lucky's 1313 Brew Pub

We had a big group meeting before a UW women's volleyball game. None of us had been here so we gave it a try. It was early so we were able to snag a booth for ten. This place is huge and airy and my guess on football Saturday's it is packed.Since there was an event they had a very limited "game day" menu via a QR code. There were maybe a dozen items on the menu. Our waitress did a good job serving us even as he bar filled up. I got their OG burger which had two types of onions on it. It was OK at best. It might have been a frozen burger patty especially since they couldn't cook it medium rare. Thus it was a bit dry. The price did include fries which isn't the case at these days. Some got pizza which they were surprised that it was good even though it looked like a Tombstone pizza. Again typical bar food.Overall OK for what it is. Just don't have high expectations.

We stopped here for lunch and found ourselves to be the only ones here during our whole time. I enjoyed my hazy ipa. The group had a couple Nashville hot chicken sandwiches, street tacos and I got the French dip with tots. Everyone agreed the fries were really good and we liked our friend. The bartender took care of us and was efficient. Only taking a star off because the women's restroom was not in great order. Toliet paper on the ground and rolls of toilet paper tucked in stalls because the dispensers were empty. Overall a neat space with lots of room.

Sunday football review:Place has a weird smell, but that's kind of expected given the typical scene. Their local brews are solid, nothing spectacular. The pretzel was good, nice and hot but not too dry. The cheese was stadium nacho cheese so that's a bit unfortunate. The wings are solid, I got the jerk and Cajun dry rubs and preferred the Cajun. Fries were crispy and actually one of our favorite parts.

Had our HS reunion here last week. Beer selection for the private room was limited compared to the main room which was odd since it was cash bar. Great place though close to Camp Randall

Lucky's has the best customer service you can ask for! Great food for a reasonable price that you can't get anywhere else!

Stopped in to watch some football. Great service, great viewing experience and great beer specials! Will definitely be back.

This place is amazing and has quick service. Atmosphere is vibrant. Definitely worth checking out!

The Madison West Class of 1984 hosted our 40th reunion last night at Lucky's! it was a fabulous party! the staff was so helpful and accommodating! it's our second reunion that we've held in the private room. it's spacious, private bar and reasonable. The pizza's are delish! We highly recommend Lucky's!
