What a great spot in a vibrant area. Lucky Joe's is an intimate spot for a great cocktail or a smallish bite. We stopped in recently during the holidays and were able to snag a couple of spots at the bar during happy hour. We are glad we did!We had a great time conversing with the talented bartender/mixologist who made perfectly concocted margaritas on the rocks, replete with the requisite Taijin on the rim. Each was made with fresh lime juice and a good quality blanco and yes, they were consistent between rounds. The wings were the hit of the food choices and are highly recommended. You will surely consider yourself lucky to stop at Joe's in Tosa.

I always have a great experience at Lucky Joe's I feel like I pop in about once a year since they have opened! It's a nice little spot in Tosa for well made cocktails and nice amount of shareable eats. Always have good service!

Came here for a quick bite on Valentines Day. We got mozzarella sticks, and splice chicken slider and pork empanadas. A lot of small bite options which is what we were looking for. Their great staff also surprised us with rose.

My boyfriend and I came on a Friday evening around 5:45, perfect time right before it really got busy as we were able to have a seat! We had the pretzel as appetizer, I ordered a perch fish fry and be ordered the beef empanadas and it was all delicious!!! Fish fry was great, fries were crisp, beef empanadas were hearty, and the appetizer was also really good! The whole ambience is laid back with some awesome mid 2000s alternative rock bangers. Will be coming back!

My husband and I met up with a few friends here on a Saturday night and it was super busy! It took a little bit of waiting at the bar to get a table, but we did settle into a booth soon enough. Our waitress was super sweet and was clearly working very hard on this busy night, but took excellent care of us.I had a French Kiss followed by the House Daiquiri. The French Kiss was yummy, but a little strong on the hibiscus syrup in my opinion. The House Daiquiri was confusing - all the daiquiris I've ever had have been served neat in a coupe - my friend ordered a vodka gimlet which was served this way - but the daiquiri was on the rocks in a tall glass. It was very good nevertheless. My husband got an old fashioned, which he thoroughly enjoyed. They also have some bar food which we were excited to try. We ordered a basket of salted fries and risotto bites, but found out after that they were out of the risotto bites. The fries were really good: the outside was crispy and inside fluffy and not dense. It was also seasoned very well. I imagine the risotto bites were equally delicious, so we'll have to go back to try it! Our check did include the risotto bites, but our waitress was sweet and fixed it right away. Overall a good experience and would definitely come back!

Time for an update. LJ's changed ownership some time back and it had been a long time since we visited. The interior hadn't changed much - it's still date night cozy with warm fixtures and nice booths. They kept a strong cocktail game too with a nice selection of tap cocktails along with a full bar including some nice wines.LJ's of yore really didn't have food (more like snacks) but the current version absolutely does, and it's good. They've got nice small plates along with sandwiches and daily specials. (Check the website to know about deals, they don't really post them anywhere)The mister had a big sloppy burger that he liked very much. I decided to be retro and split some rumaki with him ($11) - they're really, really good and served with a spicy sauce. I will not be passing these up on future visits. I also took a change on smoked pork belly deviled eggs and was pleased - the pork belly was neither fatty nor gristly. Again, two thumbs up.Staff was wonderful - very welcoming. There appeared to be lots of regulars who were greeted by name which is a sign of a solid spot. Parking, like everything else in the village is a PITA, but there are free lots nearby. We slept on this place for FAR too long - we'll be back soon.

To the person that said something about them leaving the spot smelling like grease, please go touch grass. The food is damn good and they killed the lemonade, pineapple, and tequila I ordered. Coat hangers everywhere which idk why that made the experience even better.

Nice restaurant with great patio room for a summer dinner. Good vibes and you can people watch in downtown Tosa. Stopped on a Wednesday when they do $1 bone-in wings and 1/2 price bottles of wine. The sauces were unique and had good flavor. The wings were good while they were warm but they did cool quickly. Our server was nice but didn't stop by a lot, most likely since she was helping a number of tables. We also had some of the $6 happy hour cocktails (old fashioned and manhattan) and those were quite good! Heard that they make different versions for happy hour compared to what is on their cocktail menu. My gripe with this visit though is that our server rang up my wings at normal, non-special prices. You don't get a physical bill (they tell you the amount from a toast console) before paying so I could only see the issue after paying. Disappointed with how the night ended. Not in a rush to go back but maybe will for drinks on the patio.

We have had great experiences here every time we have gone. It's a no frills, solid, good food good vibes spot. Service is always friendly, attentive and helpful. The cocktails are excellent, and I feel like there is a good selection of beer and wine as well. Sometimes they even have a DJ! Fun spot. As for the food, we have had their wings, wraps, and the stuffed mushrooms. All very good. Super good fries- the kind that are probably double (maybe triple?) fried. Great spot for a weeknight dinner when you don't feel like cooking!

I really like their wings and they have awesome cocktail deals during their happy hour! If you can try to snag a table outside, the only negative is sometimes you leave smelling like grease/ food because of how open it is with the kitchen.
