Los Hernandez is a food truck that sets up on weekends in spring, summer and fall near Goeres Park in Lodi. The menu is limited to what by you can do in a trailer but it is fairly extensive street food fare. The portion sizes are extremely generous and the prices really fair. They tend to have long lines, so if you go there during peak times you should be prepared to wait. That said, they always hustle and move through the lines quickly. Their chicken is flavorful, but tends to the dry side. Their best meat choice is their Taco Loco, a blend of seasoned beef and chorizo. It's excellent. And the salsa verde is made from a family recipe. My wife and I love it! As far as I know, they're still cash only.

I had heard about this food truck from friends in the Lodi/Sauk City area. It is available in the summer months, and word is that people wait all winter for it to open again. We got there around 11:30am after a Devil's Lake morning, and there was a short line. The menu includes tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and a few other things listed as BIG or Mini. I ordered a BIG Carne Asada burrito ($8). It comes with meat and rice, and there is a list of toppings for all dishes that can be added. I had green and red salsa, cilantro, and cheese. (Sour cream, onions, tomatoes, and jalapeños are also available.) When you get your food (burritos at least), it looks pretty "no frills". There are no sauces drenched over the top or anything like that. It didn't seem very colorful. But man... it was delicious in a way I haven't had before and large! I had seen that it was on a list of best Taquerias in Wisconsin, and I believe it deserves to be on there. YUM! Pretty much the only reason I would need to go to Lodi, WI!

Fantastic local mobile restaurant. Friendly and family owned. The food is delicious and prepared to your specifications, and the prices are low for the amount of food you get. The green salsa is especially good. The only downfall is that they only open from April to October.

My family comes here on a weekly basis in the summertime. Cheap prices and fabulous food. Burritos are massive and filling. Love the homemade green salsa.
