TLDR: Trash food, and even trashier service from the owner. Will get your order wrong as evidenced by the other reviews, then will aggressively berate you for their own mistake. Avoid this place like the plague.Never have I had a more atrocious experience with a restaurant, which is saying a lot. Because this restaurant does not allow modified instructions in the Doordash app, I called to make a simple request of only pastor, beans, and rice in my burritos. I asked twice for confirmation, and the cashier said it would be made just how I told her. So I went ahead and ordered the burritos, and when they arrived - surprise - it had everything I had asked to leave out, and without the rice to boot. So the cashier had taken my order, told me twice it would be relayed properly, then hung up and didn't bother to relay it at all.By that time, the store was already closed, and the next day I didn't have time to drive to the restaurant. So I drove to the restaurant early the following day with the incorrect order, which was where the absurdity started. The owner came out, I explained the situation and politely asked if I could receive a replacement burrito, considering it was the restaurant's error and I had driven all the way there. The owner immediately laid into me aggressively telling me to go contact Doordash for a refund, and that she wouldn't get any money if she replaced my burrito, ranting "you know how many of you people come here asking the same thing".After 5 minutes of explaining to her that I wouldn't be there in the first place if the restaurant had simply gotten the order correct, she begrudgingly said she would make a one-time exception... then literally 5 seconds later went back on what she had just said, saying she changed her mind and to go contact Doordash. WTF? I have never seen someone flip-flop on their word that quickly in my life, much less the owner of an establishment. It was genuinely appalling how utterly hell-bent she was to save on the cost of 2 burritos.Throughout the entire 10 minutes I was talking to her, she absolutely refused to acknowledge that the restaurant had any part in the incorrect order. It was mind-blowing how greedy and single-mindedly obtuse this owner was. In the end I ended up just walking out and throwing the burritos away.Oh and in case you were wondering, the burrito tasted like sh*t. There was not a single person there when I came in - I wonder why. Save your money and order from Taqueria Los Comales down the street instead, their food is amazing. And they get their orders right. And best of all, the owner isn't a greedy, combative money-grubber who berates you for the restaurant's own error.

Food was very Tasty. We got a parrillada and it filled me and my two guests up and we still had leftovers. The waiter was very attentive. Overall a nice establishment with a nice ambiance.

Had the Combo meal - brisket and hot link sausage with garlic red potatoes and green beans. Good meal. The sausage was hotter than I expected but good. Service was excellent.

Food has no taste, warm, the waiter does not know English never came back check on us.

I like this place a lot. The name of the restaurant puzzles me, but not in a bad way. When I walked in my first impression was: The owners take a lot of pride in their restaurant. It was clean, and festive looking. I ordered three steak tacos. They offer a choice of authentic Mexican tacos (cilantro and diced onions), or Americanized (tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, etc). I ordered authentic. The tacos came with lime wedges, a whole, roasted, jalapeño pepper, and a side of grilled onions (nice touch). Everything was delicious. My bill was $7.90 for three tacos and a bottle of Mexican Coke (real sugar). Can't beat the price! Food and service were excellent. I will definitely come back.

Food is absolutely delicious!! Fast and friendly service. My favorite are the flautas.... yummy!!!

These tacos are magnificent,easily one of the best tacos I've ever had in my time in Waukegan.I ordered a steak taco last week and it arrived pretty quick which was just fine like the service,the employees were respectful and super friendly. So this place and their food are glorious,if you guys have any time off consider coming here.

We typically like the food and atmosphere especially when it's karaoke night and the crowd is really having a good time. My issue is with the service. Some waitresses are nice, but I've had multiple really bad experiences with the same woman behind the bar and one specific server. They make you feel like you are annoying them. Please improve the service soon. We would love to continue coming.

My husband likes it here, he said it's authentic, it's the only Mexican restaurant in Waukegan that full him.
