This bakery has it all. If you're craving it you're likely have it such as: cookies galore, doughnuts, cakes, even fruitcake (at Christmas).I was thrilled to find pecan crescent cookies here, as I couldn't find any in Madison. They had the standard powdered sugar variety as well as iced and chocolate dipped. And they taste delicious! Crisp yet tender and not too sweet. Thank you Bittners Bakery!! Keep on baking!

Amazing bakery, with such a kind staff. They did my sons first birthday cake and smash cake. Everyone loved the cake and other cookies we grabbed.

out wandering across southern Wisconsin on the last warm day in December and wound up in Lake Geneva. kind of cool out for lakey activities and I needed a little something that wouldn't spoil my dinner. so yeah, bakery!several cases of fresh baked goods plus a tall cooler for frosted cakes and other flights of whimsy and a little table of day-olds beside for the budget conscious.so many ways to get distracted between the cookies and doughnuts; the coffee cakes, cupcakes, and other cakes; the pies, bars, slices and on and on and on... and it all looked so good :-)after some hemming and hawing I decided on two cherry danish that were delightful with coffee way too early in the morning and a pair of artisan tarts that were too delicate for the plane ride home, too much jostling about left me with a bag of fruit filling and pastry crusts which isn't such a bad thing I suppose...I'm not sure I'd make the trip back just for bakery but if I'm near the area again I'll likely stop in to sample the wares.

To certain businesses in town I will buy 3-4 dozen mixed donuts and take them to the employees as a treat. It's like I've walked in with a Christmas gift... some of the most delicious donuts/pastries available !

Outstanding. Grabbed some Christmas cookies for clients and they were great. Almond bear claw was to die for. Only downside is they aren't open every day. Online ordering I wouldn't trust.

Bittner's Bakery has been around Lake Geneva as long as I can remember, but it had been a couple years since I stopped in so I decided to check it out again last week! I knew I loved the thumbprint-time cookies, so I was excited to see their was one package of them left in a Saturday early afternoon. The cookie and chocolate were the perfect texture, and they were as tasty as I remember!! It also happened to be my sister's birthday, so I totally appreciated that they had a handful of birthday cupcakes available that could be bought individually. It was the perfect little add-on gift! They also had a great variety of iced sugar cookies in fun, summer designs! Parking was a breeze as always thanks to their prime location, and customer service was kind as always!

I have been to many bakeries over my many years, but this one is one of the better ones. I tried various different items here and all of the items I had were delicious. The two ladies that were working there were extremely helpful and nice. The next time I am in the area I will be stopping again. Great place to get bakery items.

They have a diverse selection from which to choose every time I've stopped in. Donuts, pastries, cookies, bars, cupcakes, pies, breads. Beautiful decorating. I ordered a cake for my mom's 90th birthday. It was lovely, moist and delicious.

Looking for a good old fashioned local bakery ...you are at the wrong spot. Bittners can keep their new "Chicago Prices". Sadly they now provide half the product at twice the cost and service with a "bitter attitude"!Bittners used to be a " tried & true, delicious old fashioned friendly bakery". Unfortunately they now cater Strictly to the tourists & their apparently wide open wallets!If you want good old fashioned donuts, prices and friendly service go to Piggly Wiggly( the local grocery store- yes it's a chain , but it's got all the auspices of being a good " local" shop). It is only short distance from Bittners. The donuts are just a good, if not better, twice the size and 1/2 the cost! Plus, they recently opened a coffee bar so you can get a decent cup of coffee or tea, too.I was shocked after questioning the $3.00 cost of a small donut, I was told "people from Chicago love the donuts and can't believe how cheap they are!"WHAT???? This is Wisconsin, people come from Chicago to get Away from Chicago! I was then told I could go to Pick & Save or Walmart for less expensive donuts.Not quite service with a smile :(But I will heed their direction And so I shall go elsewhere.For years I was a loyal patron & encouraged many people to support the "local bakery". I weathered the initial price increases after Covid, but they are now absurd, particularly given the fact the donuts are SIGNIFICANTLY smaller & the attitude terrible. Please save the story line the price of flour has gone up...300%+?? A bad attitude at a bakery? Short sided is Bittners approach to cater to " the Chicago tourists" pocket books. A solid business plan might have revealed it is the " locals that would be supporting the business in the fall, winter & spring". Perhaps a balance in their target market would ensure a profitable business. Sadly Bittners has disregarded and underestimated the wisdom and support of their once loyal locals.Bottom line: Enjoy a really good old fashioned fairly priced donut at Piggly Wiggly ...served with a smile. And, if you are a Chicago tourist, you can even pick up a Piggly Wiggly tee shirt ( they don't sell those in Chicago)!
