I usually spend my summers in Oshkosh,Wi. and my winters in Yuma,Az. during my stay in Wi. I had often purchased my cheese products from Loan Elm sales in Van Dyne,Wi. I enjoyed their products so much that I decided to have some sent to my residence in Yuma,Az. That, was a big mistake! After ordering cheese from them to be sent to Yuma,Az. I had this experience they told me it would be mailed out via UPS and I assumed it would be at the longest two days? after all ten pounds cost around 26.00 postage wrong! it took about five days to get here (even the post office get's it here in three days) and for less postage...second I thought they would have enough sense to pack it accordingly (Styrofoam or similar packaging?) wrong! they simply put the ten pounds of cheese in a simple cardboard box, No insulation whatsoever! the temperature in Az. during this period was in the mid to upper eighties...when I received the product it looked like it had been tossed, kicked and just abused like any normal package (not like something that was a food product) the packaging inside was burst and had cheese open in the box most of the product was melted together like a brick of butter. who ships something like this UPS ground and in such a container? I was to say the least very Unhappy! The package was delivered on a Friday so I waited until the following Monday to find out why this had been shipped in such a manner? When I called Lone Elm I asked for someone in management after a short hold I was connected to a person that was supposed to be in charge?? When I asked the reason for the packaging and the time it took to get here I was told per se, In a manner I can only describe as being both rude and unconcerned! "I told you and your friend that came to the store that...We (lone elm) do not like to ship to destinations that are warm" Not true, I or my friend were never told the aforementioned! My reply was " well I guess that shoots forty six bucks in the ass" with that I was basically given the who cares attitude and hung up! I was willing to spend 46.00 for ten pounds of cheese plus shipping, because I enjoyed the particular brand of American sliced cheese! NEVER again will I do business with the Lone Elm sales nor will I recommend them to anyone! Even a child would have better sense than to send sliced cheese in a cardboard box via UPS ground. The least they could have done was apologize for their error and offered to replace the product when I arrive in Wi. this May. But...they chose to act in the manner they did, and in the process lose a good customer and if this review has any impact? many more.
