If you are looking for some ingredients for your next Mexican recipe or want to practice your Spanish (or both!), or just experience more Latino culture, I highly recommend checking out Lomeli's Mexican butcher shop / grocery store here in Kenosha! It is a cute little lively place (in the process of expanding) but is packed with a meat and deli area, any ingredients needed for your next Mexican recipe / Latino dish, fruit popsicles, fruit juices, corn in the cup, Mexican chips, sweets, and treats! The ambiance is festive, the music fills the space with a positive vibe, and every time I go, it is buzzing with happy customers. If you can't find what you are looking for, just ask! Staff are available to help right away.

I am sure this is a wonderful butcher shop for specific types of cooking. It would definitely provide the meats, pantry items, grains, and produce for delicious Hispanic and South American recipes and cuisine. When we googled butchers and meats in the Kenosha area, we expected to find a store to purchase standard cuts of fresh beef, pork, roasts, chops, steaks, and assorted sausages. Lomeli Butcher Shop was not that type of butcher/meat shop.

Stumbled across this hidden gem on accident. My family had cookout and wanted catfish living in Kenosha I was prepared to go back to the IL side to search for a meat market. It's a small little place that offers limited seafood, lamb, beef, chicken and pork that is fresh. On this particular trip we brought 4 whole pretty nice sized catfish for $2.99 a pound, and some sliced Tilapia fillets for $1.99 pound. After getting the catfish cut in nice sized steal pieces I am proud to say that they were both great hits at the cookout! My family and I will definitely start to support this business for our family's meat needs. The girl Ariana (sorry if spelled wrong) was really nice and also said they are open to getting meats that we find are trouble to get here in Kenosha. Store also has a small grocery side.

I went in today to buy some tortillas but at the end i ended up buying Carne asada, cilantro, tortillas and a drink and other stuff payed about $30 dollars. Would be coming back again.

Also found while researching butchers in our area. What a treasure trove of meats that are hard to find in this area. Smaller scale but chocked full of produce and meats at reasonable prices. Great customer service also. I will be back soon.
