Lobo's Place Mexican

We've been here 5 times now and each time we are pleased with the quality of the food! Excellent and authentic Mexican food.

Stopped in for a late lunch and the place was empty. Had a seat at the bar and was seen to immediately. The menu has a fair amount of options and few things you don't see too often around the Midwest like chile rellenos! I ended up going with the Panchos special (forgot to take a picture?!) which was rice, beans, a chimichanga, an enchilada and a soft taco. I really enjoyed all of the entree but did have to ask for hot sauce which was also great! The chips weren't my favorite as I think they need salt, but the salsa was good. Overall I'm happy with the experience and will definitely be back.

If you want lukewarm "Mexican food" here is the place. I have lived in Mexico, so I know Mexican food. I also enjoy Tex-Mex and this was not very good. Not impressed at all. Drinks B (good margaritas) Food CAmbiance DService c I felt hurried to leave.

Not happy with having cut back on portions and sustaining mediocre service, the only thing this place had left going for them was the above par Margaritas. However, on my very last visit a week ago only to taste this greatness, I sadly confirmed the once great tasting drink has also fallen victim to whatever is plaguing this establishment that is struggling to perform as it once was. These watered down Margaritas now taste like the ones poured out of a bottle of Cuervo Margarita mix. Terrible!This will be my very last review since my wife has sentenced Lobos to the places never to return. Too bad the management doesn't seem to care. The owner(s) just sit at the bar watching the ball game while the place is falling apart around them. RIP Lobos!

Overall the prices are high. The building and dining area is large, clean and nice. No lunch menu or specials. A bit on the slow side. Not good value!

Great food, awesome location and friendly people. The guac was a little small, but other than that, it was a great choice.

I would give this restaurant 5-stars but the prices are a little on the high side. The food is pretty authentic, and the best Mexican in the area, (yes, better than Highland House) and the ambiance is good. We have always had good service.

This was our first time going here. We probably should have been here many years earlier. It's legitimate Mexican food. I was a little worried that it was going to be greasy Mexican food similar to a place that serves some paper plates in downtown Milwaukee. It totally was not. It was legitimate good food. Between everybody, we ordered enchiladas, chimichangas, margaritas, and fajitas. All the food was awesome. They gave plenty of food and didn't cheap out on the chips, charging you for baskets or anything. You could eat the chips without being charged. The margarita was great. The food was hot, and the service was pretty fast. I love that they have indoor and outdoor seating. We will definitely be going back to this place instead of other fake Mexican restaurants or Tex-Mex places nearby. This is the winner.

Someone needs to sit down and have an honest John Taffer type of conversation with ownership. Most items on the menu are so flavorless I wonder what kind of taste buds the exec chef has. When this place first opened it was busy. Now their business is much slower and my bet is that they get very few repeat customers because honestly the food is not up to par! I know this may be difficult to take but ownership needs to be honest with themselves and improve the menu tremendously. Thank you, Bill
