We visited Lewis Produce for the first time yesterday, 9/17/17 for a specific item, telera rolls. They were on sale, 3 for $1.00, and we needed 6. Um, the cashier charged us 0.60 A PIECE, which we did not notice until we got home. This was our first experience, and now will be our last. Shame on you Lewis Produce.

As much as I hate the Lewis Produce on Grand, I'd still rather go to that location than have to shop at the one on Lewis. The two stores don't even appear to be the same thing, as this location is horrifyingly under-stocked. Its sister store carries many, many international products, but this location is almost exclusively Mexican products, with a few American things thrown in seemingly at random intervals. The scariest part is that EVERY SINGLE PRODUCT in this store is sticky. Everything is coated in a terrifying film of grime and dust. The store is dirty and stinks from the meat counter. Definitely easier to navigate and less crowded than its sister store, but that's because the locals know to avoid it. It's really a trashy store.

Best prices on produce in the area by far, but also among the freshest and best quality. It is a bit like shopping in another country, with rather crowded conditions, everyone speaking spanish, and many international/mexican brands. The store is not really catering to the non-hispanic population, with many of the items labeled only in spanish, but the people are very friendly and speak English when needed.
