Recently tried La Reve for dinner on a work trip. Was so enjoyable I went back a second meal the next day. Pastry is prepped on-site (beautiful presentation and delicious!) and the dinner menu included traditional French bistro dishes. (Patrons raved about the escargot, steak frites, and crepes.)I started with the coquilles St. Jacques crepe (scallops in creamy cheese sauce served with a sides salad). The house made baguette and butter were good (you can order single servings or skip). I think that butter was very special... from Wisconsin, maybe? Doesn't matter. My mouth was so happy I could have stopped there and been pleased. I chose the Pheasant entree (not a common protein choice) and it did not disappoint... being equally delightful as the crepe. I finished the experience with bites of the Opera Cake (stunning presentation) and the chocolate dome. I packed up most of the entree and dessert for "leftovers." The second night, I got the coquille crepe, again, and chose different desserts: dacquoise (raspberry) and the almond nougatine cake. The dining room includes a full-service bar, pastry case/counter, and intimate seating area, set up bistro-style with a most tables against a banquet (open booth-bench against the wall and "close" seating to other tables). There are a few free-standing tables including a romantic spot by the window. Highly recommend!

Le Rêve - french for dream - is just that. This is a cute French bistro that could be found tucked away in one of the districts of Paris. Every single visit to Le Rêve is memorable for the delicious food and bistro-style ambiance. The service is fast and welcoming, and they have seating around the bar for walk-ins (though today I was able to score a table as a walk-in for a solo lunch on a whim). My prosciutto salad isn't pictured, because it was gone before I could remember to document it. Perfect blend of ingredients with fresh pear slices, prosciutto, fennel, manchego cheese, and figs. The dressing was bright and fresh but full of body from the generous olive oil. Their options for mocktails are limited, though the Ginger Grove is a deliciously bright ginger drink that I enjoyed. Will continue to be back!

Oui oui! A taste of le Francais right in the middle of the village of TosaI sometimes forget about this pretty authentic French bistro/patisserie with a beautiful old wooden bar and upstairs balcony dining area. While not huge it's not so small and intimate that it is hard to get a table. They have a wonderful beverage menu that goes from coffee drinks to mocktails to wine to liquors to cocktails. Something for everyone. They have some genuinely hard to find French delicacies. I'm mainly thinking of the escargot but also dishes like duck confit filled crepes. There's a little something for everyone - from sandwiches like monsieur croque to salads to more substantial dinners, with dishes priced accordingly from the low teens up to maybe $50ish for more expensive dinners.Make sure to save room though for the real star of the show - the desserts. You can go down to the dessert case by the bar and see them up close before ordering. I've had the Paris Brest and Citron tart here and both were excellent!! I wish I could order dessert first here.Ooh la la! Chefs kiss - a huge 5 stars

Wonderful French cafe in the heart of Tosa village! My friends and I caught up over lunch here, we had a very kind and friendly server and were left more than satisfied with our meals. I added bacon to my pear and brie melt accompanied by fries which were perfectly crisp. A perfect lunch that left me full and yearning to come back.

Food was delicious. The French Onion soup was amazing. AAmbiance is super cute. I love the vibe. AService was not the best. Got greeted by someone on their phone and had to say "excuse me twice". Sat at bar and the server/bartender was ok. CFood is gorgeous tho.

Absolutely love the desserts here! If you love pretty and delicious desserts, you need to try this cafe! It's definitely a fancier/sit-down place, but you can always take the desserts to-go. It's open fairly late in comparison to a lot of dessert places in Milwaukee and is a good alternative if you're not craving ice cream for a late night sweet treat.

Ordered two desserts here which were both delicious. The raspberry one was my favorite. Sat by the bar. Despite only eating dessert bartender still got us water and asked if we were taken care of. Will be back to try their savory foods.

Stopped by for a hot chocolate and pastry on a cool winter's afternoon. Delicious! Staff were friendly and the selection of pastries very extensive. I got carry out, however the dinning area gave a French bistro vibe. Give them a visit when in the area. 4 stars only because I didn't eat in the restaurant, so an incomplete experience.

Exceptional service and a really cute place for brunch. Our biggest regret was not saving room for some of their delectable looking pastries. The espresso was on point, the OJ was fresh squeezed, and the food was perfectly French. The hubs loved the crab Benedict and I was a fan of their savory crepes. Would certainly come back!
