Lazy Oaf Lounge

Never been here before today. My daughter and I stopped for lunch while we waited for her tire to be repaired nearby. It was great. She had a turkey, bacon wrap, and a Moscow Mule, while I had their Thai salad and a vodka Diet Coke. Everything was awesome. Service was awesome as well very friendly.

The food is amazing here. I loved the special today; chorizo and steak tacos with an amazing fresh mole type sauce!

Take the rating seriously, my details are nothing against the bar itself. Not the vibe I wanted but beggars can't be choosers. Bar tender needed help. I don't blame anyone here as I suspect this was a result of a bunch of rec softball games getting cancelled due to rain and an unexpected high occupancy. I came in late as I frequently do. I found a seat immediately. I didn't want a loud bar, but I found what I found so it is what it is. Steak and bacon salad was solid. Came out promptly, blue cheese was very good. Cheese curds in Wisconsin were as they should be, natural and tasty. Here is what I can tell about this place, off duty employees were here, and actually picked up and helped the overworked bartender not in a official I'm being asked to work off the clock way, but because they were here hanging out and doing little things, off the clock because that's what they wanted to do. I hope the DOL doesn't misinterpret this. That speaks to a fantastic management/ownwrship culture. Help this place stay open, if you're in the mood for a loud raucous good time, come in for some apps and some drinks, maybe a shot or two. It's honestly not my thing anymore but this place deserves respect and patronage.

Good fried cod & good coleslaw, my husband enjoyed getting a roll on the side & asparagus was a nice option. Waitress was nice, even the bartender came over to the table to fill our drinks which was unexpected. Nice place but it is loud. Parking stalls are little tight but there is extra around back.

Lazy Oaf lounge was a spur of the moment place for lunch, and I am glad that we stopped in for good food and friendly service. We went into Lazy Oaf just a few minutes after opening, so there was plenty of seating available, and plenty of TVs to catch up on sporting news. Their pizza was really good, but a little floppy on a quarter of one side, probably because there was so many delicious toppings on the pizza...still tasty though! My wife ordered their chili and it was hot and fresh. It was a little spicy for her, probably due to the diced jalapeno in it, but I liked it a lot. We also shared an order of fries...well, we didn't make dent in the pile of delicious fries, so they were a welcome reheat as a side for left over pizza later that day (dinner). If you are on the East side of Madison, you should stop in and check this place out. We hope to get back there some time soon.

Food is sooo good. The service is amazing Alyssa needs a raise she is fantastic. Love the vibe people and music.

Food was good. Service was trash. Went on trivia night & these ppl are rude af. It honestly seemed like they went out of their way to make us uncomfortable. Never again lol

I normally just come for drinks but my father and law and I were hungry and wanted to stay close to home so we stopped in here. I forgot to take pictures of the wings but they were fresh, hot and oh so flavorful. The pizza was a surprise. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was delicious. Major bonus was getting to see the Bucks beat the Nets in Game 3 of the NBA playoffs.

I used to go here all the time and loved it, but it's gone down the tubes lately. If you order pizza, you're golden - one of the best in town IMO, sneaky good. But everything else comes out either way under cooked or way over cooked. I got fish for the first time a few weeks ago and it was like rubber. Last time I got a burger, I ordered it MW and it came out MR, maybe medium at best. The manager isn't very nice - she seems mad at the world. They need to hire a good cook and then they'll be back in business for food. The bar closes pretty early no matter how many people are there, so check the times before going.

Best Fish fry in Madison! We love the cajun baked cod! Baked sweet potato/ coleslaw and grilled aspargus...even comes with a small biscuit !!! Wash it all down with a New Glasus SPOTTED COW
