I like the name. I like the people that work there. I like the people that eat there. I like the food. I like the location. I like the menu. It's clean with ample parking. And I LOVE the MALTS!

Stopped in for lunch, it's been a long time since I had been here. Food was good, waitress was friendly and d it has a cool atmosphere. Love the old pictures on the walls. Sure we will bring some friends in next time we are in town.

When you come to Manitowoc you have to eat at Lates. Period. This place has been in business for 40 yrs plus and continues to rock cheeseburgers, perch sandwiches, and cheese curds. Lucky for me I live nearby. Old school diner feel - one booth only has seating on one side and there are plenty of barstools around 2 circular counters. They also have plenty of historic photos of Manitowoc that I still look at every time I go there . Now that Culver's & Burger King and McDonalds are so expensive, you may as well spend your money at the small business mom & pop diners. I do.

A local recommended this place so we ordered food to go. We were disappointed to open the burgers to find mustard and pickles rather than how we ordered the burgers.

We stopped for lunch while on a road trip after seeing the great reviews. It was great! Good food, good service! The cheese turds were excellent.

Best cheese curds, burgers, pizza burgers, mushrooms, French fries, hotdogs, chili, perch and homemade desserts in town! Friendly atmosphere and service. Great atmosphere for family and friends. Love getting the hamburgers and gravy for family get togethers!

What a super cute old school diner! A must visit when in Manitowoc. Love their burgers, old fashioned malts, cheese curds and home made coleslaw! They also have home made desserts!

Delicious burgers. Very friendly staff. Just turn the AC up -quite chilly. Can't wait to return.
