Unsure why the reviews for this place are so low - maybe I got them on a good day or maybe people are expecting something besides a greasy spoon diner, but I had a good time here.Unpretentious and unfussy, Lake-Aire is - whether intentionally or not - a callback to the days when Lake Geneva was a destination not unlike Palm Springs or Newport and the Rat Pack were in vogue. My waiter was attentive and friendly and my omelette did not feel overpriced ($14) for a diner just a few clicks away from the lake. I'd probably opt for something fancier if I were visiting with friends or a partner, but as a single traveler not looking to overdo it, it hit the spot after a long day of walking and beaching.

Touristy. Service is good. Eggs were not cooked the way I asked. Wait time reasonable. Their simple egg breakfast did not include potatoes but they do have Texas toast if you like that sort of thing. The extra size bread is good. I don't believe sourdough is an option, my preferred choice.

We went here after a very long night of having a loved one passed away we were all starving. From the outside it looks like a good breakfast place from the inside we couldn't even eat our food there are bugs all over the place. You can't even try to take a bite of food without them flying on you. I got the steak skillet the steak was thin and Wayover cooked it was chewy like rubber. The mushrooms or soggy and slimy I have never seen such a slimy mushroom the overall skillet tasted like shortening. The person I came with ordered an omelette it was way over cooked and chewy plus it was supposed to be a bacon omelette and there was maybe a couple flakes of bacon bits. Went to go and use the ketchup bottle and liquid with a little tint of red came out. Had to quickly grab a napkin so it didn't get on the food as if we were trying to save it for some reason. Chocolate milk was good.

We stopped into Lake-Aire for a late lunch. We were able to grab a sidewalk table. It was fun to watch all the people and dogs stroll by as we ate our food. The waitress was very nice and attentive. I ordered a Ruben with tater tots and my wife had a chicken salad sandwich with fries. Both orders came pretty quickly. The chicken salad was interesting in that it contained shredded cheese. But this is Wisconsin, so I guess it's to be expected. Both meals were nicely portioned and tasty. The restaurant itself has the "aire" of your traditional diner. It's a little dated inside, but nothing crazy. When you are finished eating you'll pay your check at the front counter.

Just okay. Food was a little bland. Nothing special. The restaurant has a great location, but I don't know if I would return.

We highly recommend this gem of a restaurant. It is family owned and run, and it shows in the best of ways. From the wait staff's kindness and caring for our coffee and culinary needs..to the quality of the food, it was all great. Living in Chicago, we grew up with the diner experience. Here, you have it on Main Street in Lake Geneva. The waitress, Colleen, was so kind and had just the right touch with asking how things were and being personable and friendly. I ordered the hash brown skillet, and had some left over for later today. :) My friend had the bacon and eggs, and he loved it. It was perfect on a cold Sunday morning. We think you will love it there!

We visited Lake Geneva with our dog and tried to find a restaurant for a late breakfast. We stopped at another restaurant, Simple Cafe, because they were supposedly dog friendly. However, we were told to order take-out and then sit with our dog on their patio - definitely not a dog friendly restaurant. We left and walked through the downtown and noticed that Lake-Aire had outside tables. We were warmly greeted, our server was awesome. She brought water and treats for our dog and her service was impeccable. Our food was wonderful and the service outstanding. I highly recommend Lake-Aire!

The food, the service, and the overall ambiance is amazing at Lake Aire. The owners take great pride in their restaurant and make it the place to be. Also, their Bloody Mary's are excellent.
