La Vie Taverne

Hands down the worst bar in Depere. The drink menu is over priced and basic, my "mojito" was the worst I've ever had. They will literally kick out a full bar to close at 8:30 because they don't want to be open. Bartenders have no personality what so ever. I've been there 3 times in the last 2 years and leave after barely finishing my drink every time.

Stopped in to see some live music on Friday as someone I know was playing. This little bar has great beer, wine and mixed drink options. Opted for an Oktoberfest beer and I was not let down. It was smooth and creamy. The bar is large and inviting with plenty of seating to watch the music. Bathrooms are clean and well organized. I would recommend you at least stop in on a Friday to listen to some music as supporting local artist is frankly awesome!

I was really impressed with this wine bar until tonight. After being evacuated from Celebrate De Pere we told our friends about this GREAT little wine bar. Not only was everyone in the bar treated poorly.. The bouncer kept telling us the bar was at capacity when people kept leaving and he wouldn't let anyone in.. Mind you, it was storming outside. A friend of ours recently had a stroke, when I offered to stay outside and let him in to sit down, the bouncer replied "once you leave, you're out. No one is coming in, we are trying to close.".. Id say that's a pretty terrible way to run a business with that much traffic on a weekend like this. I will be going to the better business bureau, this is only one incident of MANY that happened tonight.

My wife is a wino and therefore she really likes this place. Wine selection is pretty awesome and I have no problem finding something other than wine for me to enjoy. Hey have live music quite often which has been good every experience we've had there but it can be a bit crowded due to the smaller space. Good place to check out tho for sure

A friend told me about this place. Classy, simple. Small but high quality tap beer selection with Pilsner Urquell and Spaten Optimater! Some nice specialty bottle beers. 2 for 1 taps at happy hour! $3.50 tappers - are you kidding me?! Great wine selection and mixed drink menu! This is my new neighborhood bar.

Great atmosphere! My wife and I walk from Allouez to Depere a few night every week. We'll stop for a glass of wine or some of the limoncello. They always have live music too! It really is s great place.
