Yeah its a Mexican grocery store, that's cool, tons of stuff here including large butcher counter and lots of fresh fruit but never mind that. Go directly to the rear left corner of the store where they have a little grill area set up that seems anything but clean with little English spoken. The tacos here, especially the lomo or ribeye tacos are probably the best tacos I have had anywhere on earth. Like super good street food tacos. Try the crema on your tacos which is like a sour cream only seasoned slightly. Big cooler full of Jarritos in all flavors near by to wash it down with. Take it with or they have a few plastic booths to stay there. Worth the drive out to nowhere for these. If you like them, tip the cook as he is worth every penny.

When in town, I make a point of visiting this store for the tacos and tortas. The asada, chorizo, barbacoa and carnitas are all good. If there are grocery needs which are unique to Mexican cuisine, they fit the bill. The staff has always been friendly and polite. This is right near downtown and the Starline Factory, and I've always felt welcomed!

A PLACE WHERE YOU CAN BUY MEXICAN SUPPLIES AND GET STABBED. I've often been told the local mexican population is often flustered upon learning Harvard IL is not the Harvard of ivy league fame, and that they tend to go chiquita bananas on each other. One such episode occured as I walked out of the store one day with an overly priced bag of 3 limes. Do your self a favor and buy a 40oz to smash a jose on the head just in case as you exit.

Felt like authentic tacos for an early dinner so decided to visit this Hispanic grocery store for the first time. Pretty much everything available for purchase in the store is from Mexico but the prices for meat and veggies are high. Credit card machine was broke. I was happy to see that they have a small area toward the back of the store that serves made to eat Mexican food. I will be back to give the made to order food a try.

I just love La Rosita. I've been coming here since I was little back when they were Fiesta Foods. When they brought in the restaurant in the back, it became my go-to, and when they brought in the mini Michoacana with the panderia, I fell in love! The restaurant in the back always has amazing tacos and tortas, I go there all the time. I've had carne asada tacos, al pastor tacos, and ham tortas and to be honest I haven't tried much else because those are so good I want them every time! They have just the right amount of seasoning. Their rice and beans are always great and flavorful as well. Just forwearning, most of the time I have to order my tacos in Spanish, but I'm okay with that. As for the panderia, the cakes are TO DIE FOR - you haven't lived unless you've had one of their tres leches cakes with the fresh strawberries and whipped cream on top. The pan dulce and bread are always fresh and delicious. Lately they've been introducing a bunch of awesome snack creations in addition to the standard paletas, fruit cups, corn, etc at the Michoacana section of the store. They'll do takis corn, hot cheetos corn, so many cool things, so make sure to check their Facebook page to see what they've come up with!
