La Flor De Trigo Bakery

As I was leaving my lunch spot I thought that the building across the street said bakery so I jumped on yelp to check it and sure enough it is a Mexican bakery so I have to walk across the street and check them out. With C19 the whole inside is a wall of plexiglass with your money going in a small slot and your order coming out of a different slot. To my surprise the place had a very small selection of items but I did get a tres leches cake slice with a bed of milk that it sat in and a flakey Pastry horn looking thing filled with creamy sweet filling, custard I think. Overall I'm glad that I stopped over to sample some of the goods because they both were great especially the cake in the cold milk, I'm going to steal that and do it with any cake slice in the future.

Talk about a hidden gem! I have been sleeping on this place for far too long! I'm saddened I wasn't able to find this amazing place on my own, but so grateful to my friend for introducing me to this place. So from the name you can guess this place is a bakery. However, you would not be doing this place justice if you think it's JUST a bakery. Yes La Flor De Trigo Bakery has plenty of delicious Spanish treats which I really enjoyed. So if you are going here for sweet baked goods you will not be disappointed. However, they have amazing lunch options too. I got a chorizo and egg sandwich with Jalapenos and cheese and it was unbelievable! The bread was so soft and warm that it felt like it was giving my stomach a warm hug. The meat and egg also complimented each other so well it made this sandwich an instant 5 star!Now the service is just as great as the food. They are super friendly and nice plus if you want to brush up on some of your Spanish they are more than willing to help!So if you are looking for a low key bakery or lunch place this is the move. Do note I have heard their tamales are amazing but they run out very quick! If you have not been here yet you need to check this place out quick!

Stumbled upon this little bakery when I realized I didn't pack myself lunch and my car was in the body shop. Most of the other restaurants on this part of Lincoln were closed but La Flor was opened and looked interesting! I went in and found a list of tortas that I could choose from. I ordered the Torta Milanesa which was about $7 and huge! It was loaded with veggies and had avocado on it, too. Very small but friendly and efficient service. If you are in the area, don't pass on this place! Stop in! They have plenty of sweets too.

This little hole in the wall is a cheap stop if you're looking for a Spanish sweet. Very cheap and no preservatives. The tamales are just over a dollar and well worth it.

I love their warm sandwiches for lunch! I work in the neighborhood and Eva will whip up a warm, fresh torta for me!
