Went back last week and ordered the Chicken Enchiladas dinner with salsa verde, and it was delicious again! The chicken was tender and the salsa verde added a great layer of flavor! On a prior visit, I had a tamal and a steak huarache, and both were on point. I was surprised to be the only diner in a Thursday evening, but I did see a couple people in for carry-out orders. This will be in my rotation for quick and deñicious dine-in and carry-out lunches and dinners.

Fantastic eatsThis spot has had some turnover but La chinampa is a great addition to the neighborhood. Staff is super friendly and service is quick. Before dine-in opened they had a truck parked in the lot but it's far better to not hang outside for lunch. I've stopped a few times new and have really enjoyed their offerings. On my first visit I got a torta - it was HUGE. While waiting for my order I noticed a lunch special sign with chilaquiles so I knew I'd be back. The counter guy told me that it was his favorite dish on the menu. Again, the serving side was HUGE and was able to get two meals out of it which is such a bonus. Lots of egg, chicken, and spicy sauce over tortillas. I'm used to it being over chips so this was a nice change.

This is such a cute place! I love that still pay homage to the Philly Way by having a cheesesteak on the menu in a Mexican restaurant. Prices are very reasonable and it's very quick service. I had the chimichanga and it was perfect! It's not very elaborate but they do know how to get you in and out quick.It's definitely worth checking out!

When I tell you the portions are so filling! We paid about $75 which seems steep but it was four of us and we got so much food, we overestimated our hunger and underestimated the portions. The asada was so delicious and the huaraches are made fresh, the flautas were tasty and filling. The things I would have to say would draw me to not come back is that it took way too long to order even thought there wasn't a line to order also, the place is a little dark. But bottom line, food is good, we will be back!

I went for the first time yesterday, and it was delicious. You order from the counter and friendly staff walks the food out to you. I had the nachos and the three taco plate with rice and beans and I was 100% satisfied. Will definitely be returning.

We make it a point to stop here for tacos every time we're in Milwaukee. We found it the first time by accident. Tacos are really great, I've also had the flautas and they're huge. Definitely a hidden gem.
