La Casa De Alberto Mexican Food

I had read that they were well known for excellent mole, and since my husband is a big fan of mole, we went for a date night. It was very clean and bright and lively. He liked his mole, and I had a taco and a quesadilla and was very happy with my food as well. We will definitely be back! Our server was very friendly and seemed genuinely caring.

Very clean location. Waitstaff was working their butts off- and results were clear. Very busy location- food was served rather quickly... even the bar was full. We've been here a number of times and always enjoy coming here. Food is always solid and flavorful.

Always fantastic. I can't get enough of the grilled chicken poblano plate. Sooo good.

I arrived to the city late and was able to grab food before closing time. First timer to this restaurant. The service was great. I ordered the enchiladas. They were ok. Too much cheese covering the tortilla. There was an option to have mole sauce which I decided against it. Big mistake. I've never liked mole sauce. I could taste too much of the chocolate. I ordered a small side of sauce just to try it. The mole sauce was definitely the star of the show! I have never had mole sauce with so much flavor. It was savory, well seasoned, and the chocolate did not take over. I will definitely order the sauce on a dish when I return. Let's not leave out the margaritas. Delicious. My only regret is not arriving to the city earlier to enjoy a full pitcher. Next time!

Average...is being nice. I was unimpressed w/ the roll up looking enchilada, and the tacos shells had a stale corn taste and one was a pure crisp. Prices are decent w/ the 2 for $10 lunch specials, but I'm not satisfied on quality of the food. Maybe the dinner portion & quality is a better bet. I don't think I'll ever know.

Excellent authentic food. Best pork. Service. Clean. Open late. Great location from all the bars and summerfest.

OMG! This is the very best hidden gem in Milwaukee. Every time I come here I try something new. I have never been disappointed. Their homemade habanero sauce is the bomb! You will never be disappointed.

When the husband suggested we go to La Casa De Alberto for dinner, I'll be honest I was hesitant, I had never heard of this restaurant and he was trying to tell me this was some of the best Mexican food in town. Well.... I'll say it once, he was right!! Don't judge a book by it's cover, not the nicest exterior but an authentic Mexican restaurant feel inside. When we arrived we were instantly greeted and chose to sit at two top table. After we sat and ordered our half pitcher of margaritas we discovered our table was wobbly. The waitress was so kind, she offered to switch us to another table or fix it - so next thing you know she's on her hands and knees fixing our table so we can enjoy our meal. Okay to the food. Our waitress suggested the mole enchiladas and so I took her up on it, even though I'm not normally a mole person (normally a red or green enchilada sauce girlie). All I can say is WOW!!!! The BEST mole I have ever had in my life. I scarfed down the first enchilada before my husband finished half of a taco, he looked at me and knew I was in heaven. He chose to have the pork and pineapple tacos which were also delish but the mole enchiladas were the winner entree of the night. Food 10/10Service 10/10 We will be back again, and I will be suggesting this restaurant to my friends and family!

I have driven by so many times but finally decided to try it and I'm glad I did, it's small which I like, nice bar area to eat at, service was prompt and answered any questions I had. Food was so good and I've been to about every Mexican restaurant in Milwaukee the mole was the best I've had in a long time. My boyfriend and I found our new favorite Mexican spot

The service was great, the margarita's not so much. The restaurant was small and the menu seemed limited.
