Cute.little neighborhood coffee shop on Keefe between holton and Humboldt. The decor is kind of mid-century meets shabby chic, and while I mention it's neighborhood-y, there was plenty of parking (street plus possibly a parking lot) it's also on the beer line trail for all the cyclists out there. I had a delicious chocolate orange muffin (delightful!) And a nice sugar free vanilla latte. They also had a lot of lunch/savory dishes and smoothies. Service was very pleasant.Highly recommend!

I'm so glad Kuumba has moved into Harambee. This is the type of space we really have needed. My friend and I tried it on a recent Sunday morning. The space is big with plenty of seating, although much of it is communal. Decor is mismatched coffee house shabby chic with an abundance of orange.Service was awesome. Very friendly and accommodating. My cortado and breakfast sandwich were satisfying. The orange chocolate muffins I brought home were superb. My friend enjoyed her coffee and said the peanut stew she brought home was pretty good as well. The large open space doesn't have a lot of soft furnishings, so it can get quite loud. There was someone who seemed to be running meeting after meeting from one of the tables and he was impossible to tune out. Once the patio space is open, that should enable everyone to find as loud or quiet of a space as they desire.Support this business! We need it.

They have some food options and known for their smoothies and coffee options. I think it's a great place to hang out and do some work at a local new coffee shop! Totally would go there again!

Cute place with very friendly service! Had a smoothie, breakfast sandwich (with jam!), and a cold brew. All were delicious! Really want to try the peanut stew sometime too.

My coffee was great & my wife's coffee drink was great too! Owners were friendly and fun to talk and laugh with. Vegan peanut stew with a side of white rice and cilantro was delicious--lots of flavor (especially for a carnivore like me). Chocolate-orange muffin was really tasty with a great texture. Love the ambiance of this place--sun-lit, mellow music, cozy dinning room / coffee-lounge. We will be back!

Kuumba is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. As soon as I entered the cafe I was welcomed with a beautiful and refreshing energy. The aesthetic is absolutely one conducive to getting creative juices flowing. Speaking of juices, I ordered a Forever Greens Juice and drip Brazilian roast coffee, both of which were perfect. The juice balanced the sweeter and more savory notes very harmoniously. I really enjoyed the fact that Alex and Arianna took time to speak with me; it was a fantastic conversation. I didn't get to look around the cafe as much I would have liked since I was enthralled with the coffee and conversation and needed to get back home sooner than later. That's okay though, this gives another good reason to return soon and try more great food and drinks!

Cute cafe with tasty coffee drinks and a few food items. Cozy eclectic atmosphere, friendly staff. There are garage doors opening onto a nice outdoor space in warmer weather.
