This is a unique restaurant, the food is 99% homemade, soups are delicious, giant pretzel with homemade sauces, bread bowls, every kind of sandwich and pasta or potato salad. Again, homemade. They don't make burgers and fries. I'd prefer a real cake dessert, but there giant cookie is pretty darn good. Staff is friendly and the style and decor is unique. Oh, and they have those tall beers ! EVERYTHING is and tastes fresh too. Definitely recommend.

I came here for lunch on a weekday with my wife. The place was relatively empty. We got seated at a booth, ordered our drinks, and looked over the menu. I decided on the Hot Wisco. This is a pile of smoked ham and crispy bacon on a pretzel bun. It comes with beer cheese sauce. It worked better to dip the sandwich in the cheese sauce than to put it in the sandwich. The ham was tender and thinly sliced, and the bacon was extra crispy. The cheese sauce added a creamy, rich flavor to the sandwich. There were a few potato options that came with the meal. I chose the German potato salad. The potato salad was warm and loaded with bacon bits. It was a nice compliment to the Hot Wisco. I also ordered a bowl of the soup of the day, which was sausage tortellini soup. This soup was packed with flavor. The sausage was chorizo. It had some heat, but not mouth burning spicy. The broth was packed with flavor also. The tortellini was overcooked, probably from sitting in a large batch in a kettle. This was my first time here, but it certainly won't be my last.

Great food and fast, friendly service. Our waitress was awesome. Loved the Rueben and the potato salad is to die for! Make sure to ask for chips (free) at your table, they go great with the horseradish mayo sauce. They also have homemade lemonade. Makes really good adult drinks!

I would describe this restaurant as a Deli Plus business. The menu is heavily focused on hot and cold sandwiches which it does very well, but also has a fairly large assortment of appetizers, soups, salads, wraps and a very limited "dinner" menu to choose from as well. For my meal here I had the turkey Club made with Fresh French bread. The ingredients were very fresh with a generous amount of Turkey and Bacon used on the sandwich (no skimping here!). Most importantly the sandwich was quite tasty. For my side I had the "World Famous" house made potato salad (actually called this on the menu) which was quite good but probably a tad short of world famous (: . Relative to the restaurant and staff, the restaurant itself is a bit rustic/dark where it has a retro old school vibe to it (think 1970's). Staff as most of the businesses are in this area was quite friendly with excellent follow up throughout the meal and a definite plus for this business.Overall, we had a very pleasant dining experience and definately would recommend this restaurant especially if you a fan of "good" deli sandwiches.

Unbelievable! Deli restaurant pub all in one! Food beverage and most importantly service. Great I mean great experience at Kurtz's Pub and Deli. Even tho we sat at the bar, everything was top notch. Wife and I split the Reuben sandwich with chips, it was one of the best Reuben sandwich I ever had. Good corned beef, the rye bread fresh. Over all a fantastic sandwich. Can't wait to try more. Thank you Kurtz's deli!!!!!

Excellent deli restaurant with a nice beer list and cocktail assortment. Unique ambiance, especially in the cellar (dungeon?), which is great for groups. Pleasant and attentive service. This is a Two Rivera staple; recommend.

We have been to Kurtz's many times over many years and just love it. We purposefully leave the interstate to head over to Kurtz's for lunch on the way to Door County. The food is deli plus. Homemade soups are fabulous. The staff is really nice and helpful. Don't miss it!

The restaurant was clean. The server was pleasant and tried to do her job.I had the American potato salad which was very good. I also had the "hot" thin sliced pork sandwich which was Not good and was lukewarm to cool. It was supposed to come with onion. Had one small onion slice on top that did not seem to be fresh. The sliced pork was as from a deli in a grocery store, processed meat with little flavor. It was quite a letdown. I had to ask them to warm it up. Terrible. Not anywhere near what some restaurants would serve as a pork tenderloin, which this was notTh other people seemed to like their food. Another person had a cold pork sandwich that used the same type of meat, unappetizing. One had the tuna melt and liked it. One loves the chickens salad sandwich. I don't know who is running this place but the menu lacks interest to me. I studied the menu before I went and did not care for most of what I saw. I would not buy this type of thin sliced pork in a grocery store. Someone came out the owner, or kitchen person, and seemed to want to please. I do not want to return to this restaurant. I enjoyed it years ago. Quality has gone down significantly and choices have decreased also.

OK - so last night, I had the Turkey and Ham Dijon $14.99. The flavor was OK, but the quantity and quality of the meat was below par! It was not this sliced/shaved, like the old days and it looked OLD! I had it on marble rye, and the bread was dried out and stale! Very poor sandwich for $14.99. I WILL NEVER EAT AT YOUR PLACE AGAIN!
