Kraemer Wisconsin Cheese

I have really enjoyed the cheese curds both fresh and aged. Also the selection of packaged cheeses with Munster being my favorite. I noticed many customers were sending holiday packages in multiple numbers each. Worth a visit.

While in the area I jump on yelp to see if any meat shops were around and jack pot I have this place bookmarked already and it's literally around the corner from my breakfast spot I just left. I got there at first open so I had whole place to my self.When I walked in I thought how small it was and it was about 75% cheese to 25% meat products. They had some amazing looking fudge as you walk in if you have a sweet tooth. They have hot dogs, sausages, bacon, all kinds cheese meat logs etc etc. I don't know how much of the products are made by them but I noticed a good deal of them made by other companies, no big deal.Yes they have the hot sticks that I usually get but something exotic caught my eyes, water buffalo and venison sticks. I didn't try any cheese because I'm a carnivore, maybe one day I will try some cheese. This is not your traditional meat shop because of the lack of zillions of fresh meats/sausages so keep that in mind but if you want like meat sticks and cheese than please stop by.

A Great Discovery! Mom & Pop Shop Owners could not be any nicer! I stocked up on a variety of Meats Cheeses & Fudge for Holiday Gifts & Winter Snacks. I'm hooked on the Cold Pack Cheese Food Spreads. Cheddar with Apricot Honey was outstanding ~ on Carr's Crackers, paired with Pinot Grigio.Serve the Cheddar & Asiago with Balsamic Vinegar on Flatbread with Cabernet. Cheddar with Mango Salsa ~ Serve with Milton's Gourmet Crackers & Beaujolais-Villages or Riesling. Smoked Gouda on Breton Original or Multigrain & Pinot Noir.Many varieties of Fudge ~ 6 squares for $14.95 was a deal. If theyre not all eaten immediately, Microwave for 5 seconds to freshen. Large assortment of Meats, Condiments, Candies, & other novelties ready to Ship.

I do like the cheese and this is a cute place but when I went yesterday all of the employees were not wearing masks. (This was at least 6 employees inside) When there is a state mask mandate and covid cases are raging with 4300 new positive cases yesterday in the state, this is not okay.

My Yelp buddy - Gem S. had mentioned to me when I'm in Wisconsin, I should really try the cheese curds. (MAHALO Gemmy! You're da bestest!)Cheese Curds? What is that??? This Hawaii boy did not grow up eating that kinda stuff......and I had no idea what cheese curds were until this past Friday, when I made my way to Kraemer Wisconsin Cheese & Sausage factory to buy me some deep fried curds.What a cool place! Kraemer's - was a Gold Medal Winner, and won the 2010 World Champion of Cheese! The sell all types of cheeses, premium cheese spreads, homemade fudge, sausages. They also sell Jelly Belly & Salt Water Taffy too. They ship all over the USA, so if you want to try, they have a toll free number - 1(800) 236-8033.Upon walking into the store, I noticed a sign on the door where it said that "deep fry cheese curds were only available from 11 AM to 2 PM". Well, let me tell you.......I went to the store after 4:30 PM...........and upon seeing that sign, I'd figure I'd sweet talk my way to the lady at the counter. I told here I was from Hawaii, and that I flew & drove all the way here to try their deep fried cheese curds, and there was no other place I really wanted to try this other than Kraemer's! Guess what? The next thing you know, oil was put in the fryer, and BAM!!!!! I got my deep fried cheese curds! Yay!!!!! HIGH FIVE me Baby!!!!!!I got my deep fried cheese curds to share with my co-workers, and may I say............the deep fried cheese curds came out piping hot & delicious! It goes perfectly with beer too!Kraemer's also sells souvenirs like t-shirts & magnets, so I picked up a few t-shirts for my co-workers. I was told if you're looking for fresh squeaky cheese, you have to come on Thursdays, as that's they day they make new cheese at the factory, and you can also come and watch too. What a cool place!Top notch friendly service! The lady at the counter was so helpful & nice. I will come back here again in the near future, if I'm jonesing for Cheese Curds.

I love this store! Primarily because I am not from here and that all their stuff is amazing. Great service, huge selection and its all delicious. Try to stop here each time I visit just to bring cheese back home! Will be back again!

Definitely will be making the journey back for all of my holiday baking dairy needs. The prices are phenomenal on Amish butter, buttermilk, heavy cream, mascarpone and cream cheeses. They also have the most reasonably priced fresh looking cheese and sausage trays I have seen anywhere. Kraemer only makes cheese spreads (17 varieties) which are all really good. They carry a large selection of locally sourced Amish cheeses a well as a good selection of more well known small Wisconsin brands. Quite a devoted following for the Friday summer special of a $3 grilled cheese and milkshake. I would highly recommend a stop if you are passing by!

The staff was super friendly, just wished they could better describe product or help make suggestions. That being said, we navigated mostly on our own - fresh curds on Tuesday and Thursday. We went on a Monday and still had some squeaky ones. All of their cheddar is phenomenal. Highly suggest the beer cheese, the apricot honey spread, and the blueberry white cheddar. The prices were so good, that as a New England girl I almost fell over. Everything was a hit, thanks!

My sister and I were over in Oconomowoc last week, and had some cheese curds (fresh, not deep fried) at Sweet Mullets. We asked where they bought them from, and were directed to Kraemer's with the tip that they're made fresh on Thursdays. Luckily for us, that was the next day!So, we made the short drive to Watertown and paid a visit to Kraemer's - this place is so incredible, I can't believe I am the first to review it! They've got a great selection of cheeses and meats, along with lots of mustards, crackers, etc. We picked up a cheese slicer, a cheese grater, a t-shirt, a Wisconsin shot glass, and - of course - plenty of cheese. The curds were incredible. You couldn't bite down without getting that squeak that only comes from the freshest curds. If I lived in Wisconsin, I'd be over here all the time. Lucky for me, they also ship nationwide!

Top marks for their cheese, negative marks for their service.TL;DR - Don't trust them to mail your order to someone. Mail it yourself.My dad has sent me a Christmas box of cheese & sausage from Kraemer's for over a decade which I've always enjoyed & looked forward to.This year when he went in to order my usual box he was told that they couldn't locate past orders (something about them being kept in boxes...?) so he called in my address for the delivery after he returned home.They did indeed mail the box... to my OLD address, which I haven't lived at for about 8 years. Which is NOT the address he gave them. I guess they still had an old record? But WHY would they mail to that rather than the address he gave them?The people living at my old address returned it a week later to FedEx who called me, then called Kraemer's the next day since I didn't immediately return their call, asking what to do with the box. Kraemer's, without even consulting my dad re: the address, told them to destroy the box. My phone call to Kraemer's went unreturned, as did the call from my dad. He had demanded that they send the box again but to the correct address since they were the ones who ignored the address he'd given them & mailed to the wrong address (which they claimed they didn't have to begin with).
