Kobie's Hot Dogs & Pizzeria

Ordered delivery from them last night may 30th around 7:30 through grub hub. I get a text saying 8:05-8:15 for delivery and that my order is in the works. Then I get a notice saying 8:20-8:30 so I reach out to grub hub customer service to find out out y its delayed and they tell me the driver is in route to get my food and it will b here shortly. A few minutes later I get a text saying my order has been canceled. So again I reach out to grub hub to find out y and they tell me that when the driver arrived at the restaurant they were closed and my order was never started. First and last time I'll ever try giving this joke of a restaurant my business

I'm mixed on this review so I'll explain. I've been in twice and once was great and once not so much. The pizza is pretty good. Chicago area is a tough place to compete for pizza but by the slices here are just fine for lunch. The chicken wings are banging. Good stuff. My problem was the hot dog visit. One co-worker and I each got the two dog meal and waiting a fairly long time for being the only ones in line. I'm a south-sider and expect a Chicago dog to be good. These weren't. Luke warm at best and the bun was crumbly and not fresh. The fries were ok.This is a new location and right by my office. I will be back and really hope they get past the growing pains. There has been a few similar establishments on this corner so they need to come with the thunder if they want to last. Best of luck Kobie!

Not good. Hot dogs luke warm. Fries lukeWarm. Not real friendly either. To be fair the presentation of the hot dogs and fries looked nice, it's just that the taste wasn't there. Too bad. I tried it and I won't be back.

Not great. Menu is hand written and very confusing. Dog and fries over priced - dog was char broiled (wasn't expecting) toppings were low quality and bordering stale. Happens to be the closest food to a job site but won't be coming back

I was planning on going to Kobie's Hot dogs & Pizzeria for the first time with my kids last Friday night. When I got there I noticed the dining room was practically deserted. It took me about 5 seconds to realize why. they had a the big screen tv in the dining area that was blasting a Dave Chapelle comedy special which was littered with obscenities. I came to eat some food , but I had to leave because my small children were being assaulted with bad language. I went to Portillo's instead.

This pizza was awful. If you want good deep dish bite the bullet on delivery and go to Giordanos. It's amazing and actually has toppings. We didn't want to drive to the store so we ordered the deep dish with mushrooms pepperoni and onion. (It was $20 for a one topping then 1.50 for each additional topping which for the amount is absurd) There were literally 7 mushroom slices on the whole pizza, like 2 chunks of onion, and the pepperoni tasted rotten. The sauce was tasteless- it was basically hot sauce and oregano. The crust was ok at best. There was basically none one the sides of the deep dish though. The crust was also burnt. Then there was maybe a gram of cheese on the entire pizza. I can't say anything about their hot dogs but whoo is that pizza awful.

I've been to Kobie's several times and the food is excellent. The pizza is fantastic, the Italian beef is also really good. And the chicken wings are to be tried as well. To be honest there isn't anything that isn't great. I will definitely back again.

Service was so friendly and the food was DELICIOUS!!! Makes you feel like you're getting authentic Chicago dining in gurnee. Will for sure be back!

Such a cool joint. Owner is really friendly. He had just closed as I walked up. But took my order anyway. I got a Chicago style pan pizza and Chicago style hotdog. They were amazing. This is what I would expect for a place like this. Definitely coming again next time in passing through.

The pizza I just tasted was provided by a co-worker, so no steak in the game so-to-speak.Sauce, Cheese and toppings were on the money. The crust and the spice under the pizza kept me from enjoying the rest of my piece. The crust seemed to be put together with too much water and seemed to be streached when the dough was too warm. The seasoning under the pie tasted like montreal steak seasoning - really - and therefore had an artifical garlic lemon flavor. Sad:(.
