We were at a wedding reception here recently, and I was horrified for the bride and groom. The hall was decorated absolutely beautifully! Beyond that, it was terrible. Bar: They had a very small bar with very limited options and only 2 bartenders for between 200 - 300 guests. Not to mention the mixed drinks were in the smallest glasses I've ever seen. Dinner: The reception had family style sit down. The tables were crunched together so tightly that we couldn't get out of our seats unless someone at the next table got out of their chair. They did not have nearly enough servers for the amount of people there which was bad enough, but these servers also dumped trays of food on 3 tables, along with knocking over a centerpiece at the main table, completely drenching one of the bridesmaids. Our table in particular was completely forgotten and still hadn't been served while everyone else was getting their plates cleared from the table. Once we mentioned this, we finally got served...and the food was ice cold. Needless to say, we made our way back to the bar, only to have to wait on average 15 minutes to get served. Bathrooms: The women's bathroom was not only dirty, but ran completely out of toilet paper and paper towels at least twice that evening. In addition to this, they had a small waste paper basket for the paper towels which was completely overflowing all evening long. I've been to Klemmer's many times throughout the years for various occasions, and have always been fond of this place. It was very disturbing to see an iconic business like this provide such horrible service. I would definitely recommend new management!

This place really needs some maintenance and updating. Everything looks old and worn out. The people who work here were nice. The food is pretty blah. Some of it was cold. This used to be a nice place in the mid to late 90s. It has gone downhill since. If you're looking for a reasonable place to hold a party and don't care much about the food or condition of the building, this place is perfect for you.

We went for my husbands funeral lunch and I was very dissappointed. The chicken was grisley, the fish tasted fishy. We were not greeted, nor given direction. They served the icecream as guests were leaving. One guest had hair in their food and another complained about a bug running across the table. I had to search out how to pay the bill. The bartener was great, but I would not use them again.

Pros: -The banquet servers are great! They are hardworking, kind, and very attentive. -The food was pretty good - had the steak with potatoes.Cons:The event planner/manager was terrible. Possibly bipolar. Extremely rude, condescending, and unprofessional. It almost seemed as if our party was an inconvenience to her. Not exactly how that type of attitude gets any business - maybe because Klemmer's is a staple banquet hall in Milwaukee but she is ruining their reputation. The bartender - standoffish. Also seemed like we were an inconvenience. And to my understanding the event planner/manager was b!tching about our party to the bartender before the event started. The bartender's attitude got a lot better as the night went on. Overall - I would NEVER book here again. Honestly, they probably don't care that I would never book there again! There are better places to go with better service. I feel terrible for the workers who have to deal with such a HORRIBLE boss!Advice: Fire the event planner/manager.

Our family hosted a funeral luncheon at Klemmers last Saturday for 55 people. When we arrived, there was NO ONE to be found to greet us or tell us where to go etc. Once we found our room we all went in and had a seat... Then, NOTHING... For approx 15 minutes we all sat there waiting. There were a couple of waitstaff that walked by and looked at us, but that was it. A couple family members attempted to find someone "in Charge"... with no luck. Finally, one of our GUESTS found someone who basically told us that we were supposed to have gone to the bar for drinks (the bar was not in our banquet room) and after we all had drinks they would serve lunch.REALLY ???? This is how you take care of a group of mourners (or anyone) !!! I am sure that none of the 55 people there that day will be recommending Klemmers to any of their family or friends.Way to drop the ball, Klemmers !

Eat here regularly for a service club meeting. Luncheons are average fare, but there are some unique specialties: home made potato chips, pretzel buns, pig wings, and a good many other home style dishes served family style. It's not a place you can go to like a restaurant, but it's a good place for receptions and club or group gatherings. Full bar.

Was introduced to the location due to unfortunate circumstances of a passing of a friend. The food was great! What wasn't was the rude bartender that had no empathy for the friends and family who were at the bar. It was apparent that they were short staffed in this department and the bartender on duty made it obvious to all by expressing his stress and sarcasm whenever possible. In all my years of customer service I have never engaged with such a disappointment. He should find respect and empathy to those providing business. He was truly a damper in the luncheon that should have been memorable. I hope they replace him asap; as that would be the best solution for such an individual!

This was by far the WORST wedding venue I've ever been to. The place feels like the Disney haunted mansion/a funeral home, but that's the least of its problems. The bartenders were beyond rude to my friends when they asked to make the drink less strong and when they asked about a discrepancy between what the different bartenders were charging (even throwing 50 cents across the counter back at my friend). If you like school cafeteria food, you just might enjoy it here (boiled vegetables and rubber chicken)...but beware, they didn't even provide enough for a serving for each person at the table. The waiters were not the most courteous and didn't even leave pitchers of water at the table. If you are thinking of having your reception here, do your guests a favor and shop around first!

Went to a group lunch. I had the shrimp on angel hair pasta. It was excellent & had plenty of shrimp. Service was prompt and attentive in spite of the group's size. The salad was okay but the French (or was it Russian?) salad dressing was wonderful. The rolls were warm & our table had plenty of butter which is important to me (but don't tell my doctor that.) No one at our table of 8 had any complaints. There is plenty of parking in their lot.

I would give this place a 0 if i could. I was there for a work party. The appetizers came out but they didn't have any serving utensils or forks. There was nowhere to place discarded dishes. Nothing was labeled. Very unsafe for people with Food allergies. When it came to the main dinner, the salad had rotten pieces on the plates. My fork was filthy. Several glasses on our table were dirty. One actually had lipstick on it. The actual Food was disgusting. Cold. The chicken was pink. It took the kitchen fifteen minutes longer to prepare the vegetarian dishes which consisted of cold vegetables and noodles. The women's bathroom... toilets didn't work. Sinks didn't work. It smells. I can't believe people pay money to have events here. This place needs to be cleaned thoroughly or just shut down. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.
