Kewaskum Frozen Foods

I love when you get into the country areas of Wisconsin and stop at a travel plaza because a lot of times you can find a cooler with various Wisconsin made meats, cheese, sausage, meat sticks etc. I keep a cooler in my trunk for the times when I find something interesting to take home.The travel plaza had a nice cooler with the local made items and I notice this brand of meat sticks that I have never had before so I grabbed a package of the hot beef sticks. The beef sticks are all beef, not like some brands that have pork also. The hot beef sticks were pretty good but not very hot. They were tasty with a nice dense texture/chew, soft sticks are awful. I would definitely get some other flavors to try next time I see them.

I stopped at the Mobil gas station next to Cabela's in Richfield, WI around lunch time and was looking for something to eat. I noticed they had a pretty good selection of Kewaskum Frozen Food meats. I bought a package of their Cheddar Beef Sticks and Landjaeger's. They were priced fairly and tasted delicious. Next time I'm in the area I'll buy more!

I got my venison processed there and was very pleased with it all! Hot sticks and summer sausage with cheese were my family's favorites.Would also recommend their steaks or brats for something on the grill. The brats have great flavor!

I wish we had known that this place had bee sold and had new people. We had used them in the past for processing our deer meat into sausage and brats and sticks and it was always good. But in 2019 we got 7 deer and took most of the boned out meat to them for sticks, salami and brats. It was all taken in in Dec. We couldn't get it back for over 7 months. And frankly only the sticks are edible. The brats are so dry even tho we bought the amount of pork they told us to. And besides dry, they have a sour taste like the meat went bad before they actually processed it. The salami is only slightly better. We now have 2 shelves of a large freezer with stuff we don't really want to eat and we had to pay over $400 for the privilege. What a horrible change from the old owners. Glad we didn't get any deer this year. Never again.

Wow! What great sausage. When you walk into the place, you see all the plaques for the awards they've won for their meats; and there are a ton of them! The garlic summer sausage is the best I've ever had. The service was okay. We went in on a slow weekday. Now we live in Arizona and I just placed my first order online. We'll see how the shipping is. We recently purchased pork belly as my husband wanted to smoke pork belly bites for a large first birthday for our son. I called to order (had to do so ahead of time annd pick up at a later date.) I was advised of the price difference with skin on and skin off and we ordered skin off which was about $1/lb more. I picked it up and it was boxed up and frozen. Get home and it was very clearly skin ON (still had nipples on it!) My husband was a bit disappointed and had to spend about an hour taking the skin off- he had other things he should be doing in prep for our party. what was more upsetting was we went back to get steaks today, he told the lady about the pork belly and got nothing but a shrug. it costed us more money and time and they didn't care. we won't be back since it's under new ownership. Last venison processing was unimpressive as well.

Dropped two deer off in November of 2021. Now September of 2022, 10 months later and still do not have them back. We are the ones that keep reaching out for an update. They never contact us. Only reply is times are tough, under staffed, equipment failure. Too many factors to give us an ETA. They are doing their best. It just seems like endless excuses at this point. I've tried to be reasonable with reaching out privately to get a timing on multiple occasions before leaving a review.

This store has the best meat. They never disappoint us. Their summer sausage is definitely the best. Staff is always friendly. Would recommend to anyone.

Great meat snack sticks. Actually received these in a gift box, and made a point to come out to their shop when I was in the area. Did not disappoint. I'd recommend the little hots. Staff was very friendly as well

Took deer in for processing, it was actually done very quick. Went to pick it up a couple days after receiving call and waited around a half hour while they tried to find it. They did not find it and assumed it was sent "across the street" to the big freezers on a pallet with deer meat for sausage processing and they would call when it came up. It's been a week now and just had a lovely conversation where it felt like it was my fault THEY put the meat in the wrong place. So no idea when we'll ever get our meat...whenever that pallet comes up for sausage processing (and no, we did not order sausage.) Disappointing seeing as we could be feasting already and now who knows when we'll get our meat. She did give us a free pack of bacon for our time, that was good. And we did buy their "famous sausage"...the taste was ok, heavy in the gut though.
