Kelly's Cajun Grill

Kelly's Cajun Grill is located in one of the food courts in Gurnee Mills Mall. We entered through J. Upon approaching Kelly's Cajun Grill there was no wait so I was able to walk straight up and order. The menu is clear and easy to read. We ordered 2 ea x two entree and one side meals. Two orange chicken and two bourbon chicken, one brown rice that has beans and the other was fried rice. These meals also include potato. We generally request the sauce on all rice and potatoes. The gentleman who assisted me is Ben. Ben was polite and fast. My food was ready within two minutes. Both entrees were hot and delicious. The counter was clean and well lit. The transaction was smooth with no issues.

We went on Friday hoping to buy the 3 plates get 1 plate for 4.99 but realized when we got checked out that the deal only applies Monday-Thursdays. The food there is pretty good but sadly on the day we went their orange chicken was soggy and not as crisp as usually. I did ask the lady who was scooping food if there were any more coming out since they looked like they were running low and she said this is what we have. The food court has a lot of options and seating so the ambiance is honestly the typical mall food court. Food wise it depends when you go but usually it's decent food court food when you are craving greasy food. It's more on the Asian or Americanized Chinese food than what you imagine Cajun food to be.

This establishment is in the food court in the mall. It gives you that nostalgic feeling of high school with its bourbon chicken, spiced potatoes, & noodle combo! Prices are about $10ish for a bento box and can feed anyone plenty! The staff is friendly and the food is premade, so it is fast! Salty, but delicious! Definitely not the most healthiest thing.

Stopped her at the Gurnee Mills food court and it was a choice of here, or Little Tokyo. I ended up here, and my son went to Little Tokyo. Seemed like Little Tokyo had a better deal; for roughly for the similar price, he got noodles and two sides, while I only got rice (no white rice available, while Little Tokyo did) and only one side. I went with this chicken that had a red color to it. It was actually good, but very salty. Interestingly, both places tried to upsell us bottled water, when we asked for well..... water. We had to be clear and asked for tap water instead.

Very bad packaging, too much sauce in the plate they gave me and it spilled into the bag making a puddle which trailed all throughout the mall and eventually onto me and my car.

The Cajun Grill is your typical mall food. Lots of sides little main dish. The Bourban Chicken is good but if this was a standalone store outside of the mall I wouldn't seek it out. It's filling and satisfies when you have kids begging for pizza across the courtyard from here. That's about all I have to say on the Cajun Grill.

Good food THE bourbon chi chicken is amazing and the sweet bourbon sauce is incredible but they hardly put any on.... you try calling them to place an order....GOOD LUCK GETTING THROUGH,

THIS IS NOT A CAJUN RESTAURANT! This is the furthest I have ever seen of anything remotely close to being a whisper of Cajun/creole/southern food. It's laughable they even pass this off as such. Are the people who eat here just as ignorant of the cuisine as the owners and management?? THIS HAS GOT TO BE A JOKE!

I ordered 2 combos online. Simple right?? After I arrived home,I discovered that my order was wrong. So I decided to call Kelly's Cajun Grill. They've got a number to call, but automated voice comes on the line to say that you should call back later. NEVER ORDERING FROM HERE AGAIN.​

i was given food with hair. she took my food, then threw it out and started saying "do you think i. stupid?, are you stupid?" theres countless complaints on how combativiee and difficult this woman is even security knows she a problem. why is she still there? she refused to give me a receipt, refused to give me a name, and claimed theres no corporate so i can just leave. i was unable to eat on my lunch snd lost 17$. no refund no receipt she just walked away saying it wasnt there when she gave me it. a line of 10cpeople and she inspects eberyones food? i was refused a receipt. all i could do was take a picture of her. i want my money back, she swiped the food out of my hand, threw it in the garbage and refused to speak to me after saying "do you think in stupid? are you stupid" i didnt even eat one bite. theres countless complaints. dooo nooot gooo
