Jordy's Bar & Steakhouse

Went for an early dinner and beat the rush. Dining area is well lit and clean, big enough booths to seat 4 comfortably, maybe even 6. Service was fast and everyone was attentive. The bread was fresh, warm, and had a good crust. I ordered a burger and fries (happily surprised to get breaded fries instead of typical restaurant fries) and it was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. Husband ordered bone in ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes. Mr. Hard to Impress could not stop talking about how great his steak was. Hands down one of the best tasting meals we've had in Watertown.

This was a rough night!! Restaurant is new and they have not yet worked out the kinks. Here's the play by play:7:00 arrived with reservation 7:16 table (boy at the host station asked if I got a notice that the table was ready; I wasn't told to watch for it. We were making eye contact for 15 minutes while waiting and were 3 feet away. The notice came within one minute of when he asked if I got it).7:48 finally a server came and we ordered our food 8:00 salads finally arrived 8:02 butter was delivered8:13 bread was delivered (noted that several new tables of diners who arrived after we did were given bread and butter immediately upon being seated)Water was empty but was never refilled. Salad and bread plates, dirty flatware and empty butter/salad dressing containers were all still sitting on the table after we finished our entrees. Server was assigned to 7 tables or more and one of those had 10 diners. She was slammed. Not really her fault. She's not likely cooking. Many new diners were seated after we ordered, then ate, paid their check and left before we even got our food. The restaurant needs to work on timing of entrees. The neighboring table ordered steaks and seafood. One man finished his steak before his lobster came. The server helper nearly dropped it on the floor. Luckily it flipped over and landed back on the plate. The woman then said she was still missing her scallops. There's clearly an organization issue with the kitchen staff. Entrees finally arrived at 8:34. Lo and behold, the server helper kept delivering food to tables to assist our server. Ranch ordered with the onion rings was missing. Luckily we saved some from the salad. Those were pretty good. Steak was a bit overcooked, and slightly dry/grainy. Salmon and green beans were good. We ate and left within 10 minutes of getting our food. We were just that tired and hungry. We just wanted to get out of there after being there almost two hours, mostly waiting. It's also nearly impossible to get a signal and there's no public WiFi. Asked to speak to the manager was when we paid our check. We were told she was "floating all over the place" so we didn't get an opportunity to speak to her without waiting again and that wasn't an option; the only choice was to leave this review. Bottom line: The food was pretty good, but we didn't order anything special or fancy and we did make a reservation and showed up on time. It shouldn't take two hours for a basic meal. It just isn't worth the painfully long wait time and inconsistent service. This place could be great if they could work out the timing and service issues. If things got to be streamlined and service was smooth and timely, this could be a 4-5 Star place. It's only been there a month or so. It might be best to wait a while to try it.

Went to dinner here one time recently. Nice atmosphere. They played 1990's country which we all know was the best decade for country music. The food was very good. I got salmon and my husband got a steak. They were both cooked perfectly. Service was pretty good too. Definitely worth checking out.

bacon cheeseburger and baked fish were great, nice decore and our waiter was phenomenal.

The steaks are wonderful!The French onion soup and garlic mashed potatoes were also very tasty. The service was excellent and to top it all, the prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend Jordy's!

Very attentive service. Decorated well. Our service was fast. My husband's well done steak was cooked as he liked. Had the shrimp scampi which was prepared to my liking. We will definitely be regulars.

The Tuesday night started slowly as we waited an inordinate amount of time for our drink order to be taken. Appetizers came out quickly, DO order the spinach artichoke dip, very tasty! Soup and salad were brought out nearly together and before appetizers were finished. Proper service dictates waiting for one course to finish before bringing out the next. I have no doubt if we would have placed the entire order at once everything would have been brought out at the same time. Dinner presentation was non existent as were the steak knives. Just dropped the steak on the plate and called it a day. Note, you do not eat with just your mouth. Over all, everything was cooked properly and was tasty, filet was very tender! Sadly, salt is the favorite seasoning in the kitchen as EVERYTHING was overly salted. Staff needs to be less heavy handed in this regard. No offer of a drink refill or dessert. We were the last table in the place (at 7:30pm) and were clearly done eating yet still had to wait 10-15 minutes to pay after receiving the check. Lots of potential here but it won't be reached without some changes.

Great service and the rib eye steak I ordered rivaled any great steakhouse in Milwaukee!!
