Johnstown Meat

I have been going to this Walworth shop for 3 years. I have gotten beef tenderloin at least 6 time's. It is not Prime BUT, it grills up and tastes like prime. Perfect every time. Ditto for the brisket and steaks. It is less expensive than other butcher shops where I paid top dollar for Prime and it was no better than Johnstowns. They trim it up and tie it and will season it if you ask. BTW they have the best beef jerkey on the planet.I

Called to make sure they were open, it was 4 degrees out 2 weeks ago. Looking forward to having a sandwich, you know, because they ADVERTISE SANDWICHES on their front door. Get there.... and they said they don't make sandwiches any longer, even though it's advertised on their front door (see picture). Ruined the day.

I love the quality of the meat and the above and beyond customer service. Our favorite items here are probably the bacon, jerky, and pork chops. they cut fresh for you there. whenever I mention a recipe that involves bacon the kids always ask Butcher bacon? I We started getting our meats here and don't plan on going anywhere else. Everything has been excellent from the sirloin to the chicken. the best part about it is they don't add chemcials or preservatives to their meat. It has made such a difference in our household as we have been literally healthier not being pumped full of the chemicals that Walmart and other big box stores use to keep their meat pink longer. The other perk is the fact that they take EBT. we get a little less meat each month but the meat we get is delicious and healthier. Courtney is an amazing employee and she really goes all out. stop in and try ...well anything and I'm sure you will be happy.

After reading your post stating that you guys are closing due to the locals not supporting you I am appalled. I have probably spent hundreds of dollars at your walworth location and I do not appreciate being thrown into this "locals" group. I believe our community has supported you and if you feel that making a negative statement like that will bring you any business you're wrong. I will not be supporting your other location after seeing what you had to say about the residents here. Take responsibility for your own actions for something not working out instead of putting it on others. Best of luck Johnstown, hopefully whoever replaces your location here in town respects the people around them more than you did.

Terrible experience with venison processing. They lost my venison. Not sure how lose someone's deer. Offered no remedy to situation.

Excellent, very reasonably priced sandwiches. My family loves their Beef and Deer Jerky, too.
