Food and service this is a real deal small town family owned bakery. The coffee is excellent and the pastries likewise

We arrived at Johnston's Bakery after 9 AM on a Thursday. It has great parking across the street. I loved the nostalgic feel with a group of retired locals laughing at a table nearby. We were instantly helped by the friendly workers. A young lady recommended the cherry and cream cheese danish. It was a perfect ratio of pasty and filling. My sister enjoyed the cherry turnover, but she wasn't a fan of the crueler.The bakery has over 9 inside tables ranging from 2 to 5 seats. There is also a private room that accommodates a larger group. There is even more seating outside in the back. It seems like a nice place to relax and socialize or co-work from.

I used to love Johnston's. They had fresh made delicious baked goods. I went this past week and was sorely disappointed. Every item I ordered was old, dry, crusty, stale. The lemon cream cake that I get because it's so moist had a hard crust all the way around. Not day old crust, more like week old crust. The pineapple upside-down cake had a hard surface where gooey caramel should have been and the cake was dry and crumbly, also very old. The jelly filled donut, which I would think is a safe, daily made bet, was also dry, stale, and barely filled tasteless jelly. Everything ended up in the trash. I want them to be the cozy hometown bakery with fresh, home baked goods they once were, but that was not the case this time around. The staff is friendly and the place is clean, so go for the coffee but save your calories for something better.

Came by here after checking out Bookworms Garden. Got the raspberry elephant ear and cinnamon roll donut. Boy, the elephant ear was at least 5 lbs and delicious! I ate 1/3 and couldn't eat anymore. Loads of raspberries preserves and cream cheese for less than $3. The donut was fluffy and soft. They got the weekend special $1.2 for a dozen giant cake donut holes. Their interior, ceiling fans are so cool. Definitely must return when in area.

Great cinnamon roll from start to finish! Soft warm inside with perfect amount of cinnamon to glazed frosting! Would go back to Sheboygan just for this cinnamon roll!

The assortment was great, lots of delicious pastries to choose from. The donut my wife had was great, and the Nutella bear claw was gone in seconds! Strawberry cake wasn't anything special, but still good.Had them make a peppermint hot cocoa that was perfect for the cold weather!

A cute little shop! Was very hectic this morning with the Senior Special, but service was still very good with friendly staff. The donut was delicious, and they kept most good separated for folks with nut allergies. The mocha was a little bit too sweet for my liking, but the Long John Donut was pretty good. Prices were cheap too! Was glad to stop by and definitely would recommend checking it out!

Their specialty coffees are excellent and the donuts were perfect- so fluffy and sweet.

Awesome bakery. One of the best in the area. Great selection of breads, donuts and cookies. Serve a nice variety of hot beverages.
