JJ's fish and Chicken

JJ's Fish & Chicken never disappoints and whenever I'm in town, I have to get my chicken wing fix from them!!! We decided to stop in on a Saturday afternoon to order a 10 Piece Chicken Wing Dinner and a 6 Piece Jumbo Shrimp Dinner. We also decided on the Cajun Rice and wanted to try the Taffy Grapes as well. The store was very clean and I loved the pictures of Chicago incorporated on the walls.It took about 25-30 mins for our order to be ready but the food was piping hot and tasted very fresh! The wings were fried to perfection and were seasoned perfectly. We chose mild, hot and bbq sauce and those dipping sauces made the chicken taste even better. The Cajun Rice wasn't bad but I'm not sure I would order it again. The Taffy Grapes were coated with a strawberry crumble and were super addicting lol. In my opinion, JJ's is the best chicken wings in the Lake County area. Their service is great and the food is always fresh and delicious!!!

Ordered 4 chicken sandwiches Yesterday 8/30/2023 thru Postmate. These are By far the WORST chicken sandwiches on this Side of Earth. Please Take them off the Menu. I ordered 8:00pm. Got them 8:45ish. Taste like fresh out the freezer (had to air fry all them). Came with 2 little cups mild sauce for 4 chicken sandwiches. Fries was Overcooked and cold. Only thing good was the lemon pepper seasoning. I should've just ordered wings. But I guess that's why the sandwiches are "Bogo" buy one get one get freePlease Remove off Menu. Refund Me Please

Food was good. Service is Apathetic. I ordered my meal. Then remembered I need to figure out food for my sons birthday party coming up soon. So I ask to for a Catering Menu. The guy says they dont have any. So, I ask him, how would I get that information. "I dunno....call back another day"I understand being out of catering menus. But you should be able to answer questions about YOUR OWN MENU.okay........I guess Ill take my large order elsewhere.

Fish was too salty and over cooked. Fries was saggy and Buffalo wings are dried. I will not go back again.

The chicken & fries tastes like it was overcooked. I called in an order for a 6 wing meal, with white bread, a side of mac & cheese & mild sauce, & was told it'll be ready in 15 minutes. When I got there, I had to wait an extra 15 mins because my food wasn't ready . When my food was "ready" all they gave me was fries & wings . How do you mess up a JJs order ?!

Ordered chicken this week and discovered when I got hone that the chicken was tasteless and cooked in old grease and the owners son refused to give us a credit OR cook in new grease. Not happy - will take my business to the north side location. Sad because we like to promote minority businesses from the hood. Not today son. Watch video of other customer trying to get his money back because food was cooked in old grease and Mgmt refused to refund it cook in new grease. IMG_2552.3gp

had a Horrible Experience at JJs fish in Waukegan almost at the corner of Lewis and Glen Flora Ave. The worker was so allude and unprofessional. I ordered some chicken and went to pick it up. I gave the worker my name for pickup and he proceeded to maybe get my order ready. in the meantime I'm preparing my money to pay. It was $34 and change. so I set the money with the change on the counter so the change doesn't roll around and the worker was upset because I didn't put the money in his hand. I thought he was joking. he then proceeded by canceling my order because of it. He seemed pretty upset. not sure if it was a cult thing or not but definitely not good customer service. Never going there again. I went to Popeyes next door and had great customer service. after sharing my story at the event I was going to they mentioned that they are very rude at that location. How unprofessional. I was shocked my his behavior.

Good food, good prices and good people. Major upgrade to the previous owners...not much else to be said
