We really enjoyed our experience here! Stopped in for dinner on a Wednesday night, and we arrived in time to get on the waiting list for a short wait of about 15 minutes. Had a drink at the bar and talked to a number of the other patrons - very friendly, casual vibe. The hostess came up to get us and take us to our table, and we got our orders in and enjoyed our drinks. I had a salad with my entree, which was fresh and tasty with a decent mix of greens and very tasting dressing. For dinner, my wife got the crab cake appetizer and a side of asparagus. Both were excellent -- the crab cakes are a nice blend of crab and breading mix with crab on top to make sure you get plenty of the seafood. I got the walleye, which was excellent and very meaty. For my side I got potato pancakes, something I don't think I've had for over 45 years, and they were a tasty accompniament to my dinner.Service was friendly and efficient, and our food came out in a very reasonable timeframe. Definitely recommend giving them a try!

On a road trip to Rhinelander from Milwaukee, I found this town and place first by geography as it's a little more than an hour and a half from my front door. I planned to have dinner here. I'm a little concerned, well actually very disheartened that there are so many positive reviews of a place that brazenly posts a flag of racial hatred at the front entrance. Not ironic racism, proud racism. Because of all the great reviews, I originally thought that the name, White House Inn, was some sort of reference to the residence of the U.S. President. Turns out, it's a rather unpleasant double entendre. The restaurant is indeed painted white, but it's also very White in the sense that I got some very uninviting looks walking in the door. I did not feel safe. While I am disappointed in my fellow YELPers on this review, this does make me value YELP's inclusive embrace of diversity in all forms. I very much appreciate the opportunity to warn you if you are a visible minority to steer clear. If you're in between Rhinelander and Milwaukee Wisconsin looking for lunch or dinner, I recommend the college town of Steven's Point or the village of Fremont. No White Supremacy flags at either and more than a couple of good restaurant choices near the Interstate.

My husband and I went here for dinner tonight. I looked online and found a place with good reviews and the food looked good and the pic of the bar was our kinda place so we tried it out. 12 minutes outside of Oshkosh and omg this place was amazing. From the phone call I made to make the reservation with Terri to walking in the door and speaking with her and seating at the bar to meet the owners behind the bar working their tails off. This place was amazing! Andy made us a great drink when we got there and some regulars we sat next to gave us a great recommendation on the menu but also assured us in the 20 years he's been coming here has never had a bad meal. They had a great selection of upscale liquor behind the bar as well if your into that but also made a mean old fashion. Classe Azul and Basil Haden to name a few and some Blatons type bottle bourbon with a moose on top (I apologize for the spelling and recollection...the drinks were great lol.) Anyways we sat down for dinner with our server Lisa as she recommended some great things and was great at coursing our meal. We had the most amazing fish we have had in Wisconsin. We are new to Oshkosh area and this place is now the place we will go to. My husband asked where should we try next week because we were on the hunt for a great place and I looked at him sideways. Ummm we aren't going anywhere else! I have worked in the restaurant industry for 10 years and this place was exceptional! Sorry to everyone for rambling but this place deserves it! Overall we felt at home and like family with these amazing people. We will be back and you should absolutely try it at least once! Also side note the history behind this place and it's still in the family and hasn't changed in 20 years is not a bad thing! They know what they are doing. The selection on the menu is amazing. The ambiance is very Wisconsin traditional supper club! Change nothing.

This wonderful spot was down the road from an inn I happened to be staying at for EAA. I had the most wonderful dinner here - everything was beyond delicious and I enjoyed it so much I came back the next night!! I will be dreaming about their amazing menu until, hopefully, I can come back again next year. It's a friendly, delightful and delicious spot. What a find!

Great local supper club with a broad menu so you can find something that fits your budget. We stop here once or twice a year on our way north. confused by the post from June 2022. There is a minor civil war theme which is linked to one of the original owners who fought for the Union. It includes very few references to the confederacy. Hard to believe they found it so offensive. It's just a good supper club with a little American history.
